Luxie, I LOVED your spotted tights so I had to get some. They've laddered already

 

when tights start to ladder, put a blob of clear nail varnish at each end.. shouldnt ladder anymore

laddered tights have been all over the runway lately, the 90's are back!

 

Laddered??? Varnish??? You guys sure talk funny ...over here we would say that our tights have a run in them and nail polish.
I actually love hearing the differences in the English language, its fun!

I think laddered sounds more logical, because the damaged part often looks like a ladder. And to me, polishing something means to buff it until it shines, whereas to varnish something is to coat it with a substance... so nail varnish seems to make more sense too.

 

what you learned first and naturally will always sound better

 

but run is just as logical as once it starts it keeps going
