Video Music Awards = pure garbage

I haven't watched this garbage since I was a teenager in the 90s, and back then there were at least a few semi-decent "artists" up for awards. These days, it's nothing more than a celebration of the trash that passes for entertainment these days. I was just checking out some clips from the show last night on the net to see what all the hype is about, and I can say with almost absolute certainty that there is no artistic merit to speak of with any of these people. Case in point, Miley Cyrus, as seen in her stripper performance below. In fact, I can see where the people who hate the American way of life are coming from, because all this garbage that is spreading out all over the world is coming from this country.

You know you are getting old if you say that kids these days have very bad taste. Most everyone from every generation has said that at some point. And I will proudly say that kids these days have very bad taste.

 

Yeah, I saw it. I was like "whoa... look at Miley"... I have no further comments.

 

Wow. Just wow. If she had a choreographer, they should be shot in the face. Wtf.

 

It's not just bad taste, it's no talent. At least no musical talent. As far as entertainment goes, it seems like it's getting easier to entertain the masses. Just feed them garbage that is the equivalent to the average American diet, and people are entertained.

 

Well, I turned it on because I heard months ago that Daft Punk would be performing which of course they did not..they just came out to give an award so I was disappointed. But anyways yea the Miley thing was shocking.

once again something dull and shit has happened in the world and the people who genuinely don't give a fuck about it are being besieged by people who can't wait to tell you how little of a fuck about it they give. seems like miley cyrus's carreer will end the same way it started for me: someone i'd never have seen or heard of if people hadn't been tripping over themselves to tell me how much they wish they'd never seen or heard of her. wake me up when its over.

lol i really dont give two shits about the awards or what happened. didnt know it was going on until i turned onCNN after class today to try and find some info on the ALMOST civil war and mass killings going on in Egypt right now, and all they were talking about was the 'psychology behind hannah montana" performance on MTV Awards..

i just saw a recap on cnn.com. She's pretty gross. She'll probably spiral into drug addiction in the aftermath of this, maybe do some porn in a few years.

I remember Marilyn Manson dancing around in a thong at the VMAs in the 90s though, so its not like its getting worse. The musical talent is getting worse, but the shock value hasn't changed much.

 

She'll more likely be checking her bank account and twitter count.
