Hey, I never said there is anything wrong with getting a new pet for the company or whatever.. it's just wrong to think it'll replace to old one totally. I've had pets all my life and I still think back to those who've died with fond memories.. I would never buy a similar looking pet just for the sake of replacement.. plus give her some time to get over it, I mean, her pet just died this night and you're already talking about replacement!
I've always wondered if the meat of a guinea pig is referred to as pork. This has plagued my brain for several seconds now.
There are several cultures that eat guinea pig but I guess it is just referred to as 'guinea pig' to avoid confusion.
everything is destructible and ultimately replacable.... well maybe not completely replacable Sorry to hear about your loss, though.
Seamonster, eventually I will get another guinea pig, but certainly not to replace Sgt. P. And I'm not ready for a new one right now, my heart is completely broken. But I see what you're trying to say, and I thank you for it. But I have to correct you, guinea pigs do have really, really individual personalities, same as anyone else. It's a misconception that they're dumb.... they're actually quite smart. Everyone, thanks for it all, it's really nice Pigs and I had the best night last night, we were chilling for about an hour and he just kept cuddling up to me and kissing my face... I know it's because he knew he was going to die, but it still meant a lot to me. I think I'm going to go out for a while, maybe go to the mall or grab a video. I need a change of venue and maybe some fresh air. Much love, everyone
