 your own lack of faith in the importance of astrology is all too common....

its obvious your understanding of astrology is no more than zilch....those educated in the truths of astrology deal with your ignorance often. if it's such bullshit, then leave it alone brothah. Astrology is deep...if you've become turned away from the oversimplification of astrology that is oh-so-popular today, i'd encourage you to study....it is just that....it's a study....not just some phrases you find around on the internet that tell you who you are....but, if you choose not to, go find something else to do besides trying to overturn people's ideas and philosophy....

Beautifully said. To really get a good accurate reading, go get your chart done by an astrologer who has taken the time (we are talking years here) to study. Internet reports are too impersonal and do not gather the multitudes of information truly needed to do a complete natal chart. Then again, astrology may not be for you. Just one astrologer's humble opinion.

Well I will say it again.I bought a big white A4 book in 1980 and went right through the exact time and place of birth. My official birth time is about 10.00am , but what is the exact time a baby is born when the head starts emerge or when the umbilical cord is cut?
The book promised more friends, more money , better career yet could not even claim to offer a single solution.None of these things arrived. Can anyone tell me if they have ever solved one single problem in their life using astrology?
When I went through all the aspects of my birth (such as the moon sign etc) it was laughably inaccurate.

    Hi Bilby,
I don't think any single book could bring about accuracy. I have read many astrology books and find alot to be laughable. The best knowledge I have received was from those who studied before me and shared that wealth, and everything I learn from each chart cast. As for the exact time of birth, that is at the mercy of doctors. Is it the first breath drawn, ot when the cord is cut? *shrugs* Have you thought any on Vedic astrology? I have found that to be quite accurate, and to answer your question, yes, I have seen paterns in my life using astrology and changed them to solve many problems. Astrology is not a cure, it's more like a road map, you always get to ultimately choose which direction to go despite what your chart may say.
    Have a great night. =)

I have not flippantly dismissed the idea at all. I studied in depth. My moon sign is Cancer from what I can remember.1980 is twenty years before the widespread acceptance of the internet. What I am saying is I have seriously tried it and it failed to work for me.
Back in 1990 I read in a magazine a prophesy for the following decade by a clairvoyant called Tom Wards who was writing his last piece for the mag.He would have had greater success by predicting the exact opposite of what he did. He got everything wrong.Even if he had pedicted the exact opposite of what he did, he would still not have really hit the nail on the head because the 1990's was the decade when there was a revolutionary change and acceptance of electronic communications, such as the internet, mobile phones and even land phoned becoming far more high tech.

This made me laugh...thank you...when I was a young girl ( many many years ago) I went for a job in my local hippy boutique. The owner who had quite a reputation in our local town :) leered at me over the counter and said "You're a Cancerian," he then went through three other star signs before I finally put him out of his misery and told him that I was a Libran.

I'm not at all sure about the whole astrology thing....seems to me that it's a set of clever generalisations that most of us can relate to and that's how it works.
Also I don't like the idea of getting out of bed in the morning and being afraid of what might happen because my stars say I am going to have a bad day.....
Co-incidentally I looked up a physical description of Librans, fair haired ,slender , of medium height with big eyes. I am dark, short, stocky, but yes I do have big eyes:)

I just noticed something strange.....almost all taurians seem to not believe in astrology...O____o
Bilby,Maxpower, and this other guy called standardstate (different forum), are all skeptic about astrology (all taurians)! And they're the only ones I ever met who oppose astrology, or claim it's wrong....
    Strange....

We never hear anything about you guys in the US and Europe (eventhough you've got the coolest creatures around...like kanguroos! For instance....), unless it's the crocodile hunter,-VERY popular in the US and Europe. that's why many of us are so intrigued about paying you guys a visit.....the whole talk reminds me of a song:
North America,South America, Asia, Africa, Europe! Don't forget Australia! Don't forget Antarctica!

lol....., but really, I never heard about that association....I'll check it out. I bet all of them are taurians too :p

The underlined bit is then contradicted by the underlined bit below
A statement like the following is having a bet both ways.To use the word "may" in effect means may not.Have you heard the one " Capricorns can be gready." This in itself is not inaccurate. It is again having a bet both ways.I have known capricorns who are not gready.I have also known gready people who are not capricorns

So sad to think that people would devote their lives to such a worthless cause.

    *has to chuckle*
What one may see as utterly worthless, I see as facinating and enriching. But as I said before, astrology may not be for you. Have a wonderful day.

It is 20 years since it went in the bin. I did this when it said I was overweight ( I was actually underweight at the time) that I would marry very young ,again complete nonsence and I was the type to marry several times.Rubbish.

reading your posts on this thread, comes as absolutely no surprise at your unattainability of the understanding of astrology. Unless your completely posting as a multiple personality, I take you as the person that isn't impressed by much at all.......I bet you and G.W. could have a good discussion on your views of Astrology.....you should check him out

btw.....I would bet that Astrology could explain your ...... well, we'll just say yourself
