You need to leave. Emotional/verbal abuse can happen in any sort of relationship, be it a friend, lover/partner, mother/father/family member, teacher or anyone. Let me tell you now. It does not get better. Ever.

Get out of the relationship and re-build yourself before he breaks you completely.

While I normally think there are a lot of situations that deserve a taste of their own medicine, this is not one of them. People like this can be very dangerous so...

    Get out

    Get out

    GET OUT!!!

As a guy I lived with an emotional abusive women for three years (yes it does happen to guys too) and the only option I had was to get out or keep going down a very dark mental path into more depression.

Get out, cut off all contact with him, counseling might not be a bad idea to help your self esteem, and learn to watch for the signs of other people who are like that. And I would say if you need support, talk to anyone on here whose been through it, we will all gladly help!

I am happy to say I have now found a girl who loves me for me, flaws and all, and it has been the biggest boost to my self esteem... there is someone out there like that for you!

    Thanks for the reply insertrandomnamehere...

You are so right...it totally happens to men just as well as women. It's something that sneaks up on you and changes things on a subtle level with your internal thought processes.

It's seriously not to be taken lightly and I would agree that anyone who has been through it and understands what they've been through would be happy to help anyone else see it for what it is and get over it. I personally see it a mile away now when I couldn't believe it while I was in it...perspective is amazing with hindsight.

for sure dip set the fuck out
like straight up make a b line for the door
hahah not really that extreme but yeah
a relationships all about building each other up for success
not tearing yourself or eachother down for failure
from what you wrote id say you need to get out on your own
focus on your life make time for you and the people that love YOU
some people are just out to be assholes when they wake up in the mornings

by the way im not some chick just siding with you
im a guy whos telling you its only going to get worse from here out
mind you i dont know anything about you or him

the decision on what to do has to be yours but from what yea wrote
its time to move on take it as a learning experience
and find the guy thats perfect for you and vice versa
