Will it dry out if I put it in the slow cooker? Normally when I add Ground Round to food, I have to do so during the last minute of cooking, because it dries out really easily. Does anyone know if this will be the case if I add it to the slow cooker for several hours?

I don't want to risk ruining my dinner......

Did you ever try this, Ash?

I'm contemplating TVP sloppy Joe filling.
I'm thinking that with sauce, the TVP will absorb over the time in the slow cooker.

What is Ground Round's base component? I don't think I've used that one.

Not really....I added the ground round in at the very end....

I was too worried it would dry out if it was in the slow cooker for too long.
