So if you jumped in front of a hunter's line of fire, you could prosocute him for shooting you? That's fucked up!

Also, you're jumping in front of it not in defence of the turkey, but so you know you can sue the hunter for shooting you. That's not taking a bullet for the turkey, it's taking a bullet for your own greed to sue him.

if the hunter where to shoot me, then yes, i would choose to prosecute him in a criminal court. at least to get his gun and hunting license revoked. as a hunter, and gun owner/operator, it is your responsibility to survey your surroundings and make sure it is safe for both you, and the people around you, to fire your weapon. if i were out in nature and run up to a turkey, chances are the turkey would get scared away. if i where "Lucky" enough to get close to the turkey, into the line of the hunters fire, and was shot, it would be the hunters fault. there is nothing legaly wrong with attempting to get close to a turkey on public property, or invited privet property. in a court, the judge would most likely find that running around where hunters are planing to shoot is a stupid idea, but obviously it is the hunters digression to choose to fire or not.

for your claim of greed, i completely disagree. in small claims court, i would most easily be able to get my medical damages recouped. as for any extra money, such as pain and suffering, i would need proof, and seeing as the accident was partially my fault, i would probably not receive anything extra, nor would i want any.

Even so, you're still not doing it for the Turkey's sake, you're doing it for the sake of getting his gun taken off him.

I still find it hard to believe you would die for a Turkey...That seems obsurd to me.

Even if he happened to be doing it for the sake of getting the hunter's license revoked- that would be directly helping the turkeys- as that fool could no longer shoot up their families. How would it be greedy for him to get a hunter's ability to hunt revoked- in what way is that benefiting him besides knowing that he is saving lives of animals, which happens to be his goal.

I didn't say it was greedy for him to get the hunter's license revoked. Read it properly next time.

Still, dying for a turkey is obsurd.

And in some areas you would be jepordizing the population as a whole, by saving the life of that one turkey. Animals have been hunted since time was time, and in order for the balance of nature to continue someone has to hunt these creatures. Would you rather see one rabbit die by the gun of a hunter, or millions of rabbits die from a slow painful disease....or just plain ol' starvation. If you don't like meat don't eat it, but I cannot for the life of me understand why you would jump in front of a gun to save ONE turkey. But thats just me.

You're just full of it. There is something called natural order and survival of the fittest that exists in natural, independent of human involvement. I agree that possibly we need to intervene at some point because we messed the entire system up in the first place, however, it does not justify most to all forms of hunting. When a certain change is needed due to overpopulation there should be a more precise study done and more moral plans given in dealing with that scenario.

Excuse me, you've just been calling my beliefs on eating meat wrong. And I'm sure you think less of people who are meat eaters. Also, you tell us that we live in a rational time, and that we have the intelligence to choose not to eat meat. Does that mean the Romans/Egyptians/Ancient China/et cetera were all stupid because they ate meat? You're actually saying that you're stupid if you eat meat, thus degrading meat eaters.

Your elitist ways condemns meat-eaters, and you have also condemned eating diary produce in other threads aswell. So, it comes to me that you also condemn vegetarian's seeming they eat food from the diary industry. You have actually said, and I quote:

This is direct testimony that you don't support vegetarian's choice to eat cheese.

Sorry, but you're argument is severely flawed.

I do think that cheese is crap, as I do think that meat is crap HOWEVER, my good sir, I do not look down on you for eating your meat and I do not look down on dairy consumers for eating their cheese. Do I think both acts are wrong? Yes. Did I ever deny that? No.

I am not calling Romans and Greeks or even yourself stupid, I just think you may be misinformed or have a skewed perception on the issue- do not see how that at all makes you stupid at all.

Thank you so much! You've just proved my point precisely.:)

What gives you the right to think I have a "skewed perception on the issue"? So you're saying my opinion on the matter is quite warped? By who's word, yours? And what gives you the right to be so "Holier-than-thou"? Because you're a vegan and you have an intelligent mind? You obviously think you're intelligent enough to not eat meat/dairy (because you have said so), so does that mean I haven't the intelligence to follow suit?

as far as jumping in front of a gun, that was a hypothetical situation, but if the situation arose, i would attempt to scare the turkey away, by yelling first, then running toward it. i have passed by fisherman many-a-time and attempted to scare away fish, and i could care less if the fishermen have been sitting there for hours, if they really want a fish, they can sit there for a few more.

i believe that all species are equal. we share this earth. if we lock billions of animals up in small cages, torture them, kill them, then we believe we are better than them just because of our species. Hitler locked millions of Jews(and others) up in small cages, tortured them, and killed them, because he believed he was better than them because of religion, nationality, race, or handicap. in my mind its the same thing!

but everything in life is up for interpretation and is according to our individual opinion. you don't understand why i would jump in front of a gun to save ONE turkey. i don't understand why anyone would jump in front of an Iraqis gun for Bush...

What a lame answer. Sorry, but you've lost your argument you want to provoke so much.

    I don't complain that you're a vegan, yet you complain I'm a meat-eater?! What's your problem?
