I would be a vegetarian, because to me it seems like the right thing to do.......but I have absolutley no self-control and, apparently, no desire to do the right thing ;) So I'm a meat-eater

oh, sweet! all these years and I never realised that just by saying something it would beome true...does that mean I can eat steak and be a vegetarian just by saying it?

oooh, I have better ones..."I am a millionare!"..."I am Johnny Depp's shag buddy!"... and so on...thanks for showing me the light buddy. I was so miusguided...

anyway, sarcasm is mean, so i'll be serious. No I do not think I am "in some exclusive club just because happen to be one of the vegitarians that don't eat fish." NO vegetarians eat fish, there's no exclusive -non-fish-eating-sub-group within vegetarianism. Pescatarians are the one who eat fish while excluding other animals. This is in no way a moral/ethical judgement of vegies, pescatarians or any other diet...it's just truth.

I don't think that just by describing yourself as something you can be that something - it's a mis-definition. Like I said before I can say to everyone I meet that I'm a millionare, but unless I have $1,000,000+ burning a hole in my bank account it's not an accurate term to describe me.

    MEAT AND POTATO BOYS!!

I went vegetarian at age 13 and then when I got prego with my second child (first boy), I started craving meat and potatoes...no joke! Anyway, I was a vegetarian because I didn't like the idea of eating flesh...not really for animal rights reasons. In fact, I think hunting is perfectly acceptable, assuming it is done with respect, without cruelty and the food will be eaten.

I started eating "white" meats (fish and chicken) while having those cravings, and continued through my third pregnancy. I still have a HUGELY vegetarian diet however. I have had 20 years experience cooking as a vegetarian, and I really love it.

I do think vegetarians (like everyone else) need to be sure they are getting the correct nutrients. Some people think that because they are veget. that they are healthy. Not true. Our soil is super depleted and we all need to be on high quality supplements. It takes 48 bowls of today's spinach to equal one bowl of 1948 spinach! That's my two cents.

I absolutely love when vegetarians call other vegetarians non-vegetarians...arguing Symantec’s...LOL! Point being you are all vegitarians. If you want to break it down into subcategories feel free. You are still ALL vegetarians.

I also enjoy reading about how this "natural, healthy diet" requires supplements. If you have to take supplements for something that you have given up...maybe you shouldn't have...........

I'm a vegan. Humans don't realize that animals are not here to please us any more than we are here to please them. And no, it is not survival of the fittest- as that implies intraspecies survival not just interspecies killing. Beyond that, for those who claim to follow in the way of Darwin- he was a vegetarian.

Though I do respect plants as being that deserve our respect...there really is no way to compare the plight of a carrot to that of a veil calf. Plus- think about how those animals you are eating are fed...by plants...

Go vegan for a sustainable diet and a better world! Save a turkey this Thanks Giving- give thanks for sentient life!!!

Like hell am I giving up meat because someone says it's wrong to eat it. Humans have evolved to be meat eaters.

How the hell have we evolved to be meat eaters? Maybe physically we are capable of eating meat- which in a sense could be described as an evolutionary process. Yet, I feel that we have evolved morally as well- and should come to the realization that animals are sentient beings who are being treated with absolutely no concern to feed our greedy mouths. Eating meat is an injustice to yourself and the animals.

    Says who?

Says the baby cow who is seperated from his mother upon birth and confined in a dirty stall to provide you with fresh flesh. Says the chicken who is de-beaked by a burning blade and stuck in a cage or a massive room with thousands of other birds- never able to reach a balance and constantly overstressed to provide you with a moment of pleasure. Says the hen who is unable to even flap a wing, having her eggs taken from her as she attempts to dustbathe on the metal surface of the cage which encloses her. Says the male chick who is regarded as useless and disposed of in a pile of suffocating similars, to be ground up and fed to his unassuming sister. Says the pig who hangs from his legs as he is rotated around to be met by the point of a blade. Says the dairy cow who is kept perpetually pregnant, hooked up to a mechanical milker, living in constant stress to provide you with drink.

All of this is an injustice you you and your soul- stained with the unseen blood and tears of these sentient beings.

How is it any more "intelligent" for you to type in this modified form of communication that we call "English"? In the end all these words are fake.
