I have gone back to being a vegetarian (I was a vegetarian for almost a year, then stopped because I wasn't getting all the nutrients I needed) and have been for almost a week. I chose this because after visiting this website and reading all the facts about what happens to adult animals and baby animals I decided to stop eating all meat. I have a friend who is a vegan and a friend who used to be a hippie when she was younger and they have supported me on my way back to eating fruits, vegetables, and anything in the health-food section that does not have meat in it. I tried eating an interesting vegan dish called pad Thai, which is rice noodles cooked with tofu in a coconut sauce with peanuts herbs and other spices. The tofu lookes and tastes like meat, but it is not, there is no meat or animal products in it, it is very spicey, yet delicious at the same time. By next year I plan on becoming a vegan. Wish me luck! Peace out! :)
To gratefulvegan: PM me any time, you gave some really good points in your posts on why being a vegan is right

Yes... new'ish! Never did eat much meat, though. I don't miss it. I want to go Vegan but I don't like to cook, so I think that will be tricky. I'm damn close, though. If I eat or use any animal product, it's in things I still own from before that I haven't used up yet and am not going to throw away since that would be wasteful.

    and "you people"?!?!?!?

crap. I'm sure there is something you don't eat because you don't care for it.
why is it an act of creating a different "race" of people over letting you have our steaks, fer gads sake?

I was a vegetarian for 4 months when I lived in Pittsburgh. Nowadays I live in a place where its even harder so I just tried to limit my meat consumption and avoided beef, but I'm moving back so I'm going to go vegetarian again.

I liked it a lot better, it's a good feeling both in terms of health and environmentally. Also, I hate the economics and business of meat... So I won't feel bad not supporting it fiscally.

I didn't realize that I had said that till quite some time afterwards, and knew that there was no sense in editing it for everyone already saw it. I meant no disrespect, I just meant you veggie people. I have all the most respect for vegitarians, but a lot of disrespect for people who look down on me for doing otherwise. lol I kinda feel like the niave white guy in a room full of black guys that asks, "You people got any Chuck Berry?"

O and when I went back to Red Rocks after about 8 years, I flipped out when I saw that they had a restaraunt, the hall of fame and all of that other stuff. I allways remembered there being only a couple of people there besides during shows, and the place was PACKED on a regular sunday afternoon. But the Hall of Fame was the COOLEST thing they could've done there. COOLEST

and on the everlasting argument between salmon and wonka: it is both the hunter and "pedestrians" responsibility to ensure the saftety of all around. Salmon: try not to shoot wonka. Wonka: Don't try and get shot. When I have a tasty deer in my crosshairs, I am looking at the deer, I am not looking for stoopid people that's gonna jump in front of my gun. END of stoy

yes. Should be implied by my name here. about a year for me. It's so easy which os what people don't realize. Next person who goes "O I could never do that" I'm gonna punch in the face.

Well, no disregard that it's not the "O that's too hard" thing that bothers me, it's when people proceed to tell me every meat product they "couldn't leave without"

Since I was 16 I've not eaten any meat. It feels good like this. I do drink milk and eat milk products though, however it's been a while eggs have not tempted me much...
