Thanks a bunch in advance to anyone who answers...
Depends on the food, some flavours work well together, some don't. To start off, buy some savory(ground), thyme, oregano, curry powder, marjoram, rosemary, basil, paprika, chives, bay leaves, 5 spice (asian stores have it), cinnamon, dried veggie flakes, flaked nutritional yeast, sesame seeds, soy sauce, and some vegan instant boullion. Onions are your best friend. Yes I know most of those aren't spices, for the cheeky sorts. I've heard soy rella is good, never tried it though. I like Payless, nearly all of my shoes are from there. I don't know enough to answer the other questions.
a) well i'm not really very good with spices. i tend to grab things out of my dads spice cupboard at random and just add them and see how it turns out. i love putting rosemary in stuff tho. thats probably a favorite! b) heh. none. they all suck. c) ok, now i feel stupid, but gum isn't vegan?! d) vegan shoes, how here's a question i might actually be able to answer! i don't know if you've ever heard of them but crystal shoes are all fake leather, and also many of the shoes in payless are. e) some of the burt's bees products don't contain actual beeswax and those are really good.
a) What are some cooking spices I could use to give my food more flavour? oregano...i dunno. haha. b) Whats a good vegan cheese I could look into getting? okanagan's choice, or gardener's choice. c) The gum issue, are there any good alternatives to gum I could get in Canada? that, i'm not sure of. sorry. d) Where do you all buy your clothing from? I live in Canada and we have tonnes of Wal*Marts etc which I like to stray from, but I find buying a good quality, inexpensive shoe without leather, is difficult does anyone know of any places within Canada or the US that might have inexpensive and good quality vegan shoes...? if you don't mind shopping online, veganessentials.com is a great site for everything vegan. e) Skincare, I have oily skin and have yet to find a natural product that works well at controlling oil, I was wondering if anyone knows of any natural products out there that could be helpful. nope. sorry. again, check veganessentials.com
a) What are some cooking spices I could use to give my food more flavour? That all depends on what kind of food I'm cooking. I'd recommend getting a couple of Vegan cookbooks or trying some good recipes of vegweb.com and see how the spices in those recipes makes your food taste. b) Whats a good vegan cheese I could look into getting? I've never had it, but I hear that Follow your Heart brand is very good. I just eat avocado when I'm after something creamy, and I eat quite a bit of nutritional yeast. c) The gum issue, are there any good alternatives to gum I could get in Canada? All Wrigley's products, including their flash strips, are Vegan. d) Where do you all buy your clothing from? I live in Canada and we have tonnes of Wal*Marts etc which I like to stray from, but I find buying a good quality, inexpensive shoe without leather, is difficult does anyone know of any places within Canada or the US that might have inexpensive and good quality vegan shoes...? Payless Shoe Source has a ton of shoes that are All Man Made. And I think you might be surprised by how many high quality athletic shoes are now Vegan because modern, man-made materials are sturdier and lighter. e) Skincare, I have oily skin and have yet to find a natural product that works well at controlling oil, I was wondering if anyone knows of any natural products out there that could be helpful. I have no idea on this one, since I'm the first to admit that I take terrible care of my skin.

a) What are some cooking spices I could use to give my food more flavour? hit the bulk foods section at any decent grocery store and start smelling different spices (smell is very similar to taste, you actually cant physically taste food if you cant smell it). buy and try out a few, you never know what you might end up liking. there are sooooooo many to choose from!! b) Whats a good vegan cheese I could look into getting? dunno, i prefer real cheese! LOL i'm not into artificials. oh... nutritional yeast makes a nice topping for pizza and spag, and stuff like that, it's yummy on popcorn and is an excellent source of chromium and b-vites. c) The gum issue, are there any good alternatives to gum I could get in Canada? do you do bee products? some vegans do and some dont. i wont let my kiddo use chewing gum because of all the artificials in it, but he loves gnawing away on a piece of beeswax. also, pine sap makes a nice chew. and i think i saw a recipe online somewhere for a wheat based chew, if you're interested, i'll try to find it. d) Where do you all buy your clothing from? I live in Canada and we have tonnes of Wal*Marts etc which I like to stray from, but I find buying a good quality, inexpensive shoe without leather, is difficult does anyone know of any places within Canada or the US that might have inexpensive and good quality vegan shoes...? meh e) Skincare, I have oily skin and have yet to find a natural product that works well at controlling oil, I was wondering if anyone knows of any natural products out there that could be helpful have you ever tried jojoba oil? it's not really an oil, it's a wax and it resembles natural human sebum more closely than anything else out there. some people find that jojoba oil corrects a lot of annoying skin problems. it's totally plant based, renewable, etc.
