i should hope not. maybe it was just super hormone injected meat he was eating.. but then again, usually they raise animals with excess amounts of estrogen. so he should have wanted to mother the cougar and knit booties for it. fuck, i don't know.
That would be pretty precious. Till he got his head bit off. Then hilarious. You're not making a good argument for veganism here.
i'm not a vegan (cheese and chocolate are my true loves). i just don't eat meat because it tastes like ass and chewing around bones makes me want to puke. moral responsibility is not what drives me to avoid the consumption of animals. but this is all beside the point.
A vegetarian diet can easily provide all nutirents. There is one vitaman (B-something?) that is a little tricky with vegan diet. A heathy vegan diet is quite easy, if you aren't too much into variety.
yes it is a b vitamin. oh and they would prolly wanna give them omega 3s too. so hm, our tax money is gonna pay for two supplements for all the people in prison in ADDITION to food that will be slightly more expensive? yeah.
Probably. There would be a cost savings from fewer specialized diets. Veg. food is acceptable to all religions. But those savings would not completly offset the food cost. Do you thing that the recidivism rate would go down? Would the decrease in the number of prisoners close the cost gap? I'm thinking mostly of county jails and the effect of reduced recidivism would be more rapid than in prisons for those with long sentances.
Well, it seems that the idea of vegan food is repugnant to many. I know that vegan food can be tasty and varied. But there are many people who can not imagine a meatless diet. I was counting on the fear of meatless more than the taste of vegan.
i'm inclined to say feed the vegan the atkins diet, feed the omnivores a vegan diet. why should i wanna make them happy?
I have to say that the prisoners who think they should have all these rights should have thought about that before they broke the law. They knew what they were doing, and most of the time crimes involve ignoring other people's rights, so suck it up.
Personally, I think it would be torture to be on a strictly vegan diet. Vegetarian is one thing, I've done that and can do it without any difficulty whatsoever, but there is no way I could ever go vegan. I have to really hand it to people that can do it. I love my cheese and chocolate way too much...and my cow's milk.
