When I was a kid, my family lived on a commune. Up to the age of 15, I was brought up as a vegan. I can remember my Mum telling me when I was 5 or 6 that even my shoes were vegetable based, though I'm not sure how, they looked like 'regular school shoes.' Is it possible that they were vegetable based? I'm thinking about going back to veganism, so if there are vegan shoes where would I get them that's any good?
Yup. I have vegan shoes (though they are Rod Laver's, made entirely of rubber and nylon, specifically modified for footbag), and they ... really are pretty much tennis shoes/sneakers. I don't know where you might find the widest selection of them, however -- but there are plenty of different kinds of vegan shoes. Try searching on Google. Google knows all.
I love my bamboo sandals, with the soles made of wood, honestly they are fucking hot, and they are actually really comfortable. I don't like to wear shoes at all though. Yet I have a ton. I own a lot of canvas type shoes because they are vegan, and cheap.
Yeah I'm a thongs chicky. Love feeling the air on my feet and they are easy to remove for my bare foot wanderings. Entirely made of rubber I think they are. Though these bamboo shoes sound enticing...
Kent to Fort Worth? ugh I attended three FWISD high schools: Southwest, OD Wyatt (summer school) and Paul Lawrence Dunbar.
My wife-cum-partner (not technically married) got a job at TCU. I've just finished my doctorate at TCU and I've been offered a job there. I don't know Dunbar terribly well. Southwests a pretty good school (resultswise) though. Incidentally, why'd you attend so many schools?
fighting purple frogs (horned toad, actually)!...we have GREAT shrooms in the cow fields. "home" school in the neighborhood, a summer school session and Magnet program. drove me to drop out. Did finish uni later. What's your doctorate? and also, is Donna Richardson Hall still in the TCU speech department? She was my debate instructor at Southwest. my step mom has a masters of divinity from TCU.
Strictly speaking, it's a lizard isn't it? My doctorate's in what encourages students to take higher level chemistry classes in high school. Donna Richardson Hall isnt in the TCU speech department (that I could find). Where did you go to university?
I think so, but they will always be horned/ horny toads to those who love them. I fianlly got my BA at Uni of Central Oklahoma. Looking at School of Mines for a masters, perhaps. international business development: looking at green, truly green, businesses in areas that need work. Emphasis on South America. but to stop the thread hijack, Earth Shoes opened a vegan line, and the slip on Chinese slippers are comfy. I love, absolutely love my Chacos www.cahcousa.com or head to Backwoods over at the Light From Hell (Uni, Camp Bowie and three others in one intersection...by the art museums).
IPath and Elliot make sneakers...try Mooshoes.com and veganessentials.com or alternativeoutfitters.com
