anyone with a support the troops sticker is just asking to get little Styrofoam pellets dumped in their gas tank!
BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA I'm not gonna take the time to read the first 5 pages of this thread, because it's exactly like any other thread on here that even mentions the military. Everybody knows everything about everything.......BLA BLA BLA This world needs more love, and more RESPECT
Yuh-huh the world certainly could use more of both of those I'll grant you that but we're dealing with the human creature here and that will always be the proverbial wrench in any works. We're incapable of peace, love, respect, tolerance... at least not in their purest forms. We're territorial and too many of us need to be "in charge". Even in the overly agreed upon discourse of peace, too many people will not accept terms from somebody else- even if they're in exact agreement. What's not important is whether there is peace, love, and tolerance-- what IS important is that it's all on "my terms" and not someone else's. And now we have a debate on vandalizing personal property in the name of free speech. Some here seem to feel justified in doing so because of how they feel about the war. In reality what they're doing is discrediting their anti war stance by infringing on another person's free speech. The effect would be to provide ample fodder for the conservative propaganda mill to characterize the anti-war movement as lawless and to smear its members as unpatriotic. Instead of infighting about whether or not stealing or altering another person's magnet is an appropriate way of protesting a war that most of us are against we should be brainstorming about how best to be heard and how to ensure those in Washington who advocate the war can feel imperiled by their stance. Vandalizing personal property does not equate with holding those in Congress accountable for how they're blowing the tax dollars being garnished from our wages.
