Vandalizing "support the troops" ribbons

The troops are not to blame for the shambles in Iraq, I don't see why they should be the subject of any grievance you or I have with the war.
They're putting their life on the line doing a job which the elected leaders of our countries asked them to do, and anyone who is anything less that 100% behind the soldiers should be ashamed in my view, whether they agree with the work the troops are doing or not, becuase giving your life to your country is something you or I could never do.

Perhaps SlydeHippie or anyone else who agrees with the vandalism would care to explain to the families of dead soldiers why we should vandalise cars rather than support troops?

Hardly suprising if some Arabs *had* wanted to do the WTC (altho it was obviously an insider job by Cheney and Co).
The thing is tho with some of , murder and genocide is all very "justified" by you until its inside your borders.

2800 died in the WTC and B list American celebrities didnt stop crawling out of the woodwork to do a memorial concert / phone- in etc etc.I dont recall one for the million or so Arab victims of Bxsh..

What would we get if 5 percent of the American population was wiped out?

I respect myself for not supporting the war, or becoming a soldier myself.
I don't really care what other people do with their lives.. but just because soldiers decide to gamble with their lives doesn't mean i should, or do care.

And, i do take it for granted that there is an army out there who are willing to protect me... i woudln't join it myself.. but i'm not complaining if some people are willing to throw it all away for my freedom.

I'll tell you where I stand: I don't support murder. Whether it be British, American or Iraqis being killed. And people of all of these nationalities are dying in Iraq on a regular basis. Just because I don't want to see British soldiers dying, doesn't mean I support the killing of Arabs. So stop making me out to be a racist.

Again, I've never said I agree with what they're doing. Because I don't. I've never been in support of the war.
But I don't think they deserve to be killed anymore than Iraqis.

I do not condone the murdering of anybody. And that includes Arabs.

Of course I want the troops out! But it should be Bush & Blair sent to trial, not the troops.

The problem in Iraq is a political issue and it's naive to pretend otherwise.

I suppose it's easier to point the finger at the troops rather than aknowledge that your nation and mine have elected a war criminal since the invasion.
America and the UK as a whole are to blame for the Iraq war, not the man holding the gun.

anyhow the point of this WAS yellow ribbon magnets are empty gestures concealing subliminal meanings of pro war, pro murder, pro rape, pretty much pro everything you NOW say you're against.

 

I think it's funny that most vehicles down here that have support the troops stickers and magnets are SUVs.
