i'm not afraid of no tetanus. i'll never on my own go get that shot. fuck that. i'll take my chances after stepping on rusty nails
Blairs not a doctor, his opinion, as a former British PM is almost completely irrelevant when it comes to immunizations. Calling the medical communities general accepted protocols the same thing as pharma companies claims isn't objectives. The reason a valid counterweight to immunizations isn't presented is because there isn't a safe logical alternative for society as a whole. As for MMR, heres my argument.
I think we've had all ours that we need. In Primary school everyone had to have a shot for something, but we didn't. I can't remember why, I only assume we'd already done it. I have no problems with vaccinations, I think that forcing someone to have it is a bit extreme but at the same time, it's risky not to. If Smallpox were to make an outbreak now, we'd be screwed bigtime because barely anyone in our generation has had the vaccine. But if everyone thinks like that, no one will get the vaccination. ..So you are afraid of some tetanus?
I've only had a couple of shots in my life (one tentanus injection when I got bitten by a rat). Hardly ever take anti-biotics and pain killers. Worst thing I've had is the chicken pox. And yes.. You can laugh at me when I die of swine flu
:smilielol5: I am such an idiot. I read that (yes, those two "generations") as "family". How do I remember to get dressed in the morning? EDIT: One "generation".
I don't get vaccinations I won't get vaccinations If I had children, they would not be vaccinated Just about everything they vaccinate against has long been eradicated anyway.
Are you serious? Mumps still exist, so does measles, and even rubella. Not necessarily in the U.S. But it's not like they can't spread. You have to be at least some level of crazy to not vaccinate your children.
Actually, most parents that choose not to vaccinate their children are intelligent, college educated, middle to upper class, and have done the research. Nothing crazy about it, unless you have blind faith in everything you are told is "good" for you and "required." There are millions of people across the world who choose not to vaccinate their children, and yet we have heard of no mumps or measles epidemics, or even people dying from these conditions. The key is to build a healthy immune system. Vaccines destroy natural immunity. If people fed their children whole, organic foods, high in nutritional value -- instead of McDonald's, Mountain Dew and Twinkees -- they would not have to worry about them getting sick.
...and then they take the kiddo on vacation to Mexico. Kid gets the mumps, gets all levels of fucked up, and they go to prison for child-neglect or whatever.
By 'actually', you mean to state something as fact and provide no research. Try to articulate your bold sweeping generalizations with facts.
Like this one... "Just about everything they vaccinate against has long been eradicated anyway." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_modern_mumps_outbreaks Enjoy.
I am going based on the people I know and have heard from over the years. People that have legitimate reasons for not getting their children vaccinated are hardly people that could be considered guilty of neglect. Quite the contrary, they care immensely about the child's health and are aware of the dangers that vaccines pose, not only the the child's body, but their developing brain as well.
