    The gunpowder plot really has no place to be brought up in America unless it's a class on British history, it'd be like British students learning about the whiskey rebellion.

    but that's exactly the problem with history classes in american schools.. very ethnocentric (or whatever the word is).. what happened to comparative studies.. viewing american history through one looking glass is lame

    students would benefit from learning about rebellion in all cultures. but this is gov't run schooling, what do you expect
