USA's Future?? (given the BS of the recent past)

There are black market retrofit devices that turn a semi into an automatic weapon. Bump stocks were a focus - and that's just one type. They may not be legal - but the black market is HUMMING. No enforcement or "big plan" to stop those. REPUBLICANS ALWAYS block any sensible gun restrictions ........ then when there's a mass shooting - after the fact - say "thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."

Recently, many REPUBLICAN-CONTROLLED state legislatures around the country have introduced bills that ELIMINATE the requirement to even need a gun permit!!!!!!!!! We need classes, testing, & on-the-road training to drive a car ......... but to buy a gun .......... no problem!! Just walk into a gun store and - wham! - you're a gun owner.

I firmly believe in the 2nd amendment ...... but that kind of sh*t is insanity. How about checking to see if the person wanting to buy a gun is NOT a felon, and isn't a mental case?????? Where the F has common sense gone??????

It's because of 1 person - I won't call him a man. The DIVIDER.

 

We've been polarized from our beginning. Kill or move the first inhabitants to controlled areas getting them out of "the way " of Manifest Destiny. Steal dark people from another continent to forcibly work for us for free. Charge money for them --thus making them a commodity. Kill or beat them for various reasons--after all--they are not really human. This divider is one of a long list of proud , polarizing colonizers that STILL keep those of a "lessor " worth under control. Or attempt to do so.
This, I believe, is just the unfortunate, ongoing stupidity,cruelty and unchangeable fate of the human race.

This latest mentally ill, narcissistic, pathetic example of a human being with an untold , unfortunate, number of weak minded humans of the type that obviously can be led by the lower regions of the mind to not even begin to suspect what they embody in the human range of behavior.

 

We are in serious trouble Scratch. On CNN the Smirconish show had a guest who talked about a coming civil war. Smirconish asked him if we would still have an America in 50 years, after the behavior of the Republicans. Margie Greene has called for a national divorce. Ted Cruz has said a Red State departure might be called for if Democrats win again. I have said for many years that the Republicans are pushing a John C Calhoun philosophy, because they want the states to over-ride Supreme Court rulings, and over-ride the will of their voters. Chief Justice Roberts just warned about the same thing that I mentioned. This country can act crazy sometimes. Slavery ended with the civil war; but, OTA BENGA was a black man who was kept in a monkey cage at the Bronx Zoo until 1906. He killed himself in 1916, most likely because of the cruel treatment he experienced. If Trump and his business first buddies get to govern us, what can we expect?

 

I have an idea what we can expect stormy, but I hope that there will be / are- enough people that understand the difference between the authoritarian right wing / conservative / fascist ideologies and the citizens whose ideologies actually are intended to make this democracy stronger and more equatable than it has ever been. Obviously throughout history, small minded, self important tyrants with not a whit of empathy for their fellow citizens have crushed those for whom liberty, equality , fairness in life and an equal say in their fates is a worthy goal to be attained. But as has happened over and over --I'm not real positive about the outcome of our attempt at maintaining a just society ---it hasn't been an easy go of it as it has been. If we lose what little democracy we have now to those forces that will cheat, lie, steal and murder----we will be looking at an indeterminate period of that which we now see in China, Russia, North Korea et al. Once the so-called republican / trump base realizes what has been done to ALL of us --it will be too late. There will be enough misguided goons with guns among the 74 (trump voters)million of our citizens who think we need an authoritarian government to keep the blacks, browns and those nasty socialistic democrats under control. It's not looking very good for the country and those of us that are speaking out against the actual forces of evil. We'll see within the next two years which way the wind blows.

 

And for all the gun-lovers in THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ........ if fascist, autocrat T**** wins the White House and the fascist REPUBLICAN PARTY gain both house of Congress .........
How long will it take before the FASCIST REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP decides to start collecting guns in a paranoid frenzy to protect their positions??? Name a one-party, FASCIST regime anywhere that took any chances on armed citizens revolting against them.

IMO - If the above takes place - the very people who the "2nd amendment" lovers / backers thought would always protect their gun rights - will most likely end up taking them away from them. How IRONIC will that be??? No dictatorial, fascist leader will tolerate any chance that armed citizens might not like how they're being F**ked over, and decide to organize another coup. Just look at history and how fascist dictators rule with an iron fist.

I believe in the 2nd amendment - but not for the same reasons as those other KOOKS.

You just reminded me of the crazy men who had a plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan after all the attacks against her by Trump. They were going to put her on trial in their own court, under their own laws, in another state????????

Before our next election, we need to have the FBI and Military identify any gun owner --including former military and police-- who consider themselves a part of the Confederate States of America. If they are citizens of that enemy government then they should have their guns confiscated and be prevented from voting in any election. We cannot have our enemies working to undermine our government.

 

This is exactly what will happen if T**** and THE REPUBLICAN PARTY take control. T**** has already said publicly that his political opponents should be thrown in prison or EXECUTED. T**** said it with his own pus-filled, satanic, decayed mouth. T****'s idiotic dolt followers wanted to hang Mike Pence on Jan. 6th, 2021 because he followed the law and obeyed the Constitution. The above info by Stormountainman will become normalized behavior by the fascist crazies if they get voted in. They've proven their intents by their attempted actions - and their ACTUAL ACTIONS.

These soldiers are TRAITORS to the U.S. and its Constitution. If they consider themselves Confederates and soldiers for the neo-Confederate states - THEY ARE TRAITORS. No other word applies.

Lots of Pessimism in this thread.

 

Much of what's been happening in the last 30 years - and especially since the T**** cancer hit the country - doesn't give me any optimism. Our country is as divided as I've ever seen it, with actual HATE spewing out from some people who are in favor of violence to gain political control. Sound like free democracy to you??? Or a third-world uprising / coup to an autocratic regime???
