Well if someone were to fake a video like that, it was surely intended to incite reactions and create sentiment such as yours. Some people feel they need to go the extra mile to try to prove their point, even if it involves lying. Such as your last comment. I am sorry but I do not believe you, and I think deep down you know that comment is not true. For almost 9 years I was in contact with active members of the US military, and I cannot think of one person who joined just to "shoot people". And about the way you generalize people, do you think that makes you a good person? Would you want to be generalized the way you do to others? Hippies are stereotyped too. What you are doing is confusing liberalism with libertarianism. Two entirely diifferent ideologies. If you listened to Ron Paul you would have learned that the true conservative priciples conststed of being against foreign entanglesments, foreign wars, stressing sound monetary policy and preserving personal liberty. Above all strict adherance to the constitution.

If we look at history, you will plainly see that, outside of the Gulf War and Iraq, it has always been democrat presidents who got us involved in the 4 biggest wars in modern US history:
Woodorw Wilson - Democrat - WWI
Franklin Roosevelt - Democrat - WWII AND 41,000,000 civilian deaths
Harry Truman - Democrat - Korean War
JFK/Lyndon Johnson - Democrats - Vietnam War

Resulting in 616,582 American deaths.
These are facts. Not opinions.

Now, if you TRULY are a libertarian, then you are closer to conservatives. Are you a conservative? A true old style conservative who were against foreign entanglements, against getting involved in foreign wars and for adhereing to the constitution? Or, and this is what I already know, are you a ultra-left wing liberal, always bashing republicans and strangely silent when it comes to democrats? Do you support higher taxes on progressivly higher incomes? - Liberal policy. Do you support increasing taxes those who make more and giving it to those who make less? - Liberal again (not to mention classic Karl Marx thought as written in the Communist Manifesto). Libertarians are against both policies. Do you support the people's the right to bear arms? Libertarians do. So dear, you are no libertariian. I could go on, but you get the point.

Can't I admit to being moderate? I believe everyone has a basic right to bear arms to defend themselves... however, I also feel like if guns get to just any hands, who knows what could happen.I mostly believe in the Right to Bear Arms, I just think perhaps it shoudl exclude psychotics.
Why don't I bash Democrats? Honestly, yes I am more Liberal than COnservative. But since the elections usually are only between the two big parties (the rest don't have a chance usually), I have to say Republicans just piss me off more. it seems like they're the ones who want to watch us, control us, use us, abuse us.

Dems said they would work to end the war, yet when Bush asked them for 90 billion during the 1st session after the won the house, they actually gave him 100 billion!! As long as they could get their earmark spending projects included too! So they are both full of crap.

 

I believe we have a one party system with two factions. Thus giving the people the "illusion" of choice.
