Lets blame Chelsea Manning!

 

Though I don't agree with a lot of things going on with the current administration, I do agree with this motion, and it's about time.
This, along with all the other political agendas imposed on our military, have been a major distraction to force readiness and have depleted the overall morale of our sons and daughters who serve. So many rules and regulations have to be adjusted to accept those who want to live this lifestyle, especially to things that are gender specific, such as physical fitness tests for example. There are male and female standards, and the females grade scale is different. They aren't required to do as much to pass compared to a male. And now, if you have someone who isn't naturally born as female, wants to be identified as female but is actually a man, they have an unfair physical/biological advantage against other females. Stop the nonsense now, It's all shit, and needs to just go away! There are more important things that needs attention in this country and this isn't one of them.

Fuck 'em..our military, I mean. If they're willing to turn away people who are willing to die for this country then maybe they should stop waging perpetual war

I think people get it wrong when they compare a desired lifestyle/gender reassignment decisions to the struggle of a race of human beings who have been discriminated against, beaten to death, etc. because of the color of their skin.

 

So the struggle of a group of human beings who have been discriminated against, beaten to death, etc. because of lifestyle (whatever that means) and gender reassignment surgery is different? How so?

Also, it doesn't negate the fact that both of these are examples of "political agendas imposed on our military."

 

Well,

To clear things up, by "lifestyle" I meant gay/lesbian, but I'm pretty sure you knew exactly what I meant. The point I was trying to make in response to what you posted is that a lot of Black Americans are frustrated with being told that the struggles are the same and compare to and are exactly what black Americans faced before the there was a desegregated armed forces and the civil rights era a decade or so later.

I'm not surprise coming from the US.

What where you thinking the US was some what liberal. The US has never been liberal ever. The democratic party is center right conservative party and republican party is far right wing party compare all other first world countries. The US never been liberal.

 

It doesn't look like it has yet, but probably still in the works. I don't think that the 15,000 Transgenders that are currently serving will be touched though. I think they will be allowed to finish out their service obligation. Things don't work as smooth as he thinks they should.

 

And the point I was trying to make was that the notion of imposing a political agenda being bad, then that would include all imposed political agendas, right? Such as, Truman's desegregation of the armed forces.

Also, trans =/= gay/lesbian, and frankly I find the term "lifestyle" to always be awkward and confusing since it implies sexuality is a lifestyle. And yet, I've never heard the term "straight lifestyle."

Our Grifter-in-Chief came out saying this ban was active for trans people....while at the same same the Pentagon said they were not aware of such!

I found a link to an article where the Pentagon estimates at least 11,000 trans people currently serving as soldiers (which I will give that link after I finish my commenting). So...does Orange Dummyhead McTweety want all of these soldiers to just immediately quit and go home, change (through magical means unknown to man) who they are, OR WHAT....

Yeah, I saw that this morning, but now I've read that this was actually Mattis' call and that the acceptance of trans people into the military was an "experiment." A trial period for these 11,000 soldiers. Weather or not they knew that when they enlisted remains to be seen.

 

Looks like, according to Sarah Huckabee Sanders' press briefing, that it is something the White House and Pentagon are going to have to work on implementing. Nothing is law yet.

 

This announcement occurred seemingly out of the blue. How can he possibly justify this ban? The American military is desperately in need of volunteers. I am struggling to wrap my head around it. How is it justified? Could Trump just announce tomorrow that Jewish people or Muslims were no longer allowed to serve in the military? What is his jurisdiction here, if any? I'll have to do some research.

 

It just when comes to politics it always a tug of war it seems. Make small baby steps to left than back to right the conservative view. Than in 5 years do the same thing again.

Yea legalize LGBT and legalize marijuana!! Than ban LGBT and marijuana!! Than legalize LGBT and marijuana again.

This tug of war of left and right.

Next Trump will ban every thing that not part of the conservative view. Than in 5 to 8 years some one going be fixing all this making it legal again.

Got to love politics and big government. Yes make it legal now and not legal now make it legal again. The founding fathers must be have a very big party over this big government we have today.

 

As I said in an earlier post, it appears the initial acceptance of trans people into the military was a trial. They were going to see if it worked. I guess it didn't work.

But then again, the Pentagon was just as surprised as anyone by the announcement, so I don't know what's really going on here.
