The best compromise that can be made at this point in time would be to remove all exceptions and exemptions from Obamacare. Meaning that all elected officials are no longer allowed to avoid the healthcare policies brought on by this bill, like they are allowed to do right now. That means every member of congress is required to sign up for the exact same bullshit that we have to sign up for, including Obama.

If Obamacare is so great, why does he exempt himself and his family from it?

Maybe once the lawmakers experience these atrocities, they'll think twice about it.

I'd like to see the republicans fight for this exact compromise. But I know they won't in a million years. Because they might be successful and their exemption statuses will be revoked too.

    >.< They're not exempt, I already addressed that rumor.

And when you say Congress, one needs to understand that that affects everyone who works UNDER each member of the Senate in the House.

(Like pages, and Congressional aids, and those who manage the Library of Congress)

Not only have the obama's excused themselves ; there are literally thousands of exceptions to the draconian bill. Almost more disconcerting I'm hearing from friends of less then par economic means that obyscare is doing nothing for them. One acquaintance of mine is an $8.50/hr employee , she was refused "her" subsidy. Given the fact that the bronze , entry level package begins at $384/mo ; many of my bohemian , starving artist type buddies giggle and light another bowl at the thought of "mandatory enrollment". LOL. Just the thought.

A spending analysis? Spending by individuals? insurance companies? government? or all combined?

I've found that statistical analysis quite often is misused as a means to manipulate some actual facts to promote a view. Large organizations with political agendas, having the time, money, data access, and people, make it quite difficult to disprove their 'studies' except by another organization with an opposite political agenda, and in the end neither may be presenting the real truth in their results.

interdependence? The producer is dependent on the consumer and vice versa? I can accept that.

I've found that people who are unwilling to even consider changing their opinion will often make baseless claims that facts are unreliable, so that they don't have to confront the fact that there is a chance they are wrong.

Beginning to let your belligerence show? If you are trying to imply that I am claiming 'facts' to be unreliable, then you misunderstand me completely. Opinions can be formed as a result of the 'facts' that are known, and even then result in wide disagreement. All that I am saying is that the more facts that are known, the better equipped we are to deal with them, or as I've stated previously numerous times, problems should be solved at their source, where ALL the facts are most readily available, allowing them to be dealt with most efficiently.

    I don't remember specifics.

But I do remember two criteria:

    1. The amount of GDP spent on healthcare in each country.

    2. And the resulting healthcare outcomes for people of that country. (Did they remain sick, did they get better after treatment?)

Monk you remind me why i dont like obamacare. Well the main reason at least. The problem isnt as much to give care to the poor. Its more to just lower the cost of healthcare overall. And the very fact that there are numbers about how care is so much cheaper in other countries is proof that it could be cheaper here. But it wont be because nobody will complain about the high doctor bills if the insurance company is just going to pay it.

    1. Spending is an easily obtainable fact.
    2. The outcomes of treatment being based on what, poorly trained Doctors, improper treatment, or something else?

Begs the question of why many people come to the U.S. for medical treatment, yet I'm unaware of Americans going elsewhere to receive better treatment.

Why are drugs produced in the U.S. sold for less in Canada, and most every other country of the world? Living abroad, nearly every U.S. manufactured drug is available at a small fraction of the cost, and many prescription drugs available over the counter?

Obyscare has truly lived up to it's name. oby has set you up for failure. You can't even log into the $500 million web site. Really? Yes , really. Things are starting to indicate that within one year the system should be nationalized. obyscare was puposely set up to fail.. How could it not? The big scam continues. More folks have logged into the Drudge Report than obyscare this week.

Although these terms are largely arbitrary, fascism is actually a far-right ideology.
Also the end goal of communist ideology is the emergence of a stateless society, so it ironically could be considered far-right as well.

The political spectrum is kind of iffy.
Don't use it to try and make a point seriously.

    The key word being "chosen".
Left wing politics is characterized by the valuation of egalitarianism.

How do they feel about the "welfare state" now , that things are gettin geared up ? As previously, stated most of my "occupy" type friends are pissed at barry because health care is not "free". LOL. They are now pissed that they voted for him. LOL.

You say "just", but the way things were headed before Obamacare, the overall cost of healthcare was going to explode the deficit. The main goal of Obamacare was to keep that from happening. Even with Obamacare, there are still huge pressures to drive up the costs, but it won't be so bad. Conservatives who are now saying, "Obamacare is a failure because my premiums are going up" are know-nothing idiots.

OK, I see your point, but I don't think complaining about high health costs is going to accomplish anything. Complain to whom? The government? The insurance company? Your doctor?

I'm one of both who have logged into Drudge Report, and Obamacare.

But then again I'm in a state exchange.

I've always said that Obamacare probably won't do very much good if the State Legislatures who were resisting it. (specifically states that were resisting setting up their own exchanges and educating their State inhabitants/citizens about how it can affect them positively or negatively)

There are some Canadians who believe that getting the health care directly by the bank's accounts has the best regard for government failure to balance the budget. Eh, relaxxx?
