What country in the ME maintains that it has no nuclear weapons eventhough everybody knows they do? Israel. Who did Israel get permission from in order to build these nuclear weapons? As I recall, they did it on their own. With nobody's permission. Why should they demand that Iran stop it's nuclear program? Couldn't have anything to do with Iran attempting to level the playing field, could it? You can argue that Israel needs to protect itself. I can argue that Iran has the same right. This is even more important when you sit atop one of the world's great oil reserves and other nations wish to take it from you. That being the case, a few nukes in the arsenal will keep the peace. My belief is that Iran already has nukes, purchased just after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Does Israel want to find out the hard way? Now, I don't care for the governments of either country, but I can't ignore the people who live within these countries. They're my only concern. They both have rotten governments that serve an extremist agenda. Same for the US government. Sane people will find a way to topple all of them. x
