Hi everyone! I just updated our Hip Forums app for Android. I fixed the display on mobile devices so it sizes responsively to your device. There's one big issue with it however, you cannot upload images directly thru the app. You can post images from your phone's gallery, so that's not a problem, just less convenient. You will need to allow the app to install, as it's not coming from Google Play. It may also ask you for a couple of permissions, no big deal. We don't use that info anyway, I built it with the MIT app creator. Apps don't get simpler than this! You can place the icon on your mobile device's homepage. Download it here: https://www.hipforums.com/HF2019b.apk
Skip, I cant down load, it stops me at every point on security.. I'm allowing every time it stops me.. but now its saying not allowed in your area... any tips please?
It's the same mobile version we have here, but it makes it easier to load from your homescreen, and for some it may display better, and be faster cause you're not using a memory heavy web browser.
I'm making this post through the app. Seems to be acting about the same here. It will be nice if it gets around the nanny-state Wi-Fi of the supermarket nearby. Normally I have to run a VPN type app for HIP to work. (Example: Hot Spot Shield)
2:40 pm EDT update: Logging in is easier. However, said supermarket Wi-Fi is still blocking it. I have the VPN Shield thingy on now. Their system also blocks the VK social web page. However, the app always goes through.
