What would happen if he went back to Australia thinking that, and then the US did bring charges against him? He would then go through the whole extradition process again no?
Guess this is outdated since he's been released, but I guess SNL did a skit on the whole thing last Saturday that I just found and I thought it was pretty funny: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7-MbiixFe0"]YouTube - Julian Assange sketch on SNL
Well maybe we can pick another term, besides whores, for women that throw parties and cook breakfast for their attackers after being raped. At the moment I am not sure what term to use...
That's true. In most cases anyway. I dunno. I'd say "unfortunate women caught in a slightly grubby situation". It doesn't really roll off the tongue, though.
a good reminder of what we may have to look forward too.... there is bound to be violence... i just hope the peaceful message gets out there too... that's where the internet is a blessing... for broadcasting the truth... :2thumbsup:
What if we called Julian "most likely innocent" and called the women "goes to show you how pathetic some people's morality is when they'd turn around and ruin someone's name most likely to receive a decent cheque". Rolls right off the tongue.
UPDATE 12/18: Bank of America Stops Processing Payments for Wikileaks! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/18/bank-of-america-will-stop_n_798605.html I can't wait to see the response of Anonymous and Wikileaks to this! Wikileaks has a 5 GB HD on Bank of America it's been drooling over for a long time. They haven't found a way to organize the data yet so ppl can access it, so maybe they'll just release it all just for revenge...

UPDATE 12/18: Assange Walks Out on Interview with ABC, Calls Reporter a Tabloid Schmuck! http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/video/julian-assange-calls-abc-news-reporter-tabloid-schmuck-12425603 Watch how Julian responds to a detailed question about his sexual encounter with one of the women he is accused of raping.
I think upto a point it was out of their hands. The motive to go to the police is something, perhaps, we'll never know. From the reports I read they were worried about getting HIV. The accusation of rape was not theirs I don't think. There should some balance in responsibility here. HIM and them. I think I'll quit trying to label anybody, to be honest. As for money? I doubt it was because of that.
Don't think that link can be viewed in the UK. Here is the youtube version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38_rIhfnNx0"]YouTube - Assange Leaks Media Truth: Calls ABC "reporter" a TABLOID SCHMUCK
