judge the 2 girls on how they look sarah is the pix on the left..jessica is on the right..why would they even print these just to pixelate them???
The pixelated is just a device of manipulation... it effects how a piece is viewed if the likeness is presented in hidden for the purpose of "protecting indentities"- more to prejudice the intended audience. If they were solely interested in protecting identities they wouldn't show a photo in the first place.
i know but the one on the left looks dirty..and thats the look i go for update...apparently a 'hacking tool' is being posted on the net by wiki supporters for the common man to join the fight...just heard that on CBC....the authorities are freakin out lol
This can be a very effective way for the oligarchs to justify censoring or shutting down the web.... or otherwise make it impossible for people to communicate and get info outside the mainstream media propaganda. Discussions like this one as well as our support for Assange- who is being set up can make this site a target as well.
reading stuff like this makes me want to cheer like i'm at a football game. Go hackers go. although why are they targeting mastercard if mastercard donates to the wikileaks fund? did they have something to do with the arrest? -note to self. do not joke on HF. guys. Julian Assange looks fine. I do not judge people on the way they look, way to jump to conclusions there. Most of the people in my life are a little weird looking. Weird is good. However, someone has like 80 pictures of him in their sig pic and i'm sorry but even brad pitt starts to look creepy after 80 pictures. i can only put four but you get my point. well i can really only put three, because appearantly four counts as five. anyways. i just think the avatar thing is dumb. it reminds me a bit of reality tv...sometimes reality tv actually shows real people with real problems, but the fact that they're on television desensitizes the viewer and keeps anyone from feeling any real sympathy for them. Its the same concept with splashing someone's face all over hipforums. Its a little desensitizing.
...no no no...if you wanted to donatethe site had a deal with MasterCard to facilitate that...MasterCard is now refusing and blocking private donations from support groups and individuals
You want reality? You want to know if this is the issue that will get people to stand up? 195,804 members on this site. 10 people so far have shown support for this issue by changing their profile pic. At least a dozen others posted things that showed they didn't care, thought it was a joke, or thought the government was right in what they were doing... And the rest did nothing... THAT is the reality we live in. And just think, people here, are MORE likely to be in support of Julian then the general populace...
That's one opinion. Maybe some of the other members have learned to think for themselves, and came to a different conclusion. Or they are waiting until they learn more about this guy.
And just to prove my point... up pops someone demonstrating it. What do you need to know in regards to the fact that he all he did was publish documents that were given to him, the EXACT same thing every reporter has done and fought for the right to do so. As for what he may or may not have done otherwise, how is it relevant in anyway shape or form? That's the part that people like you, who although claiming to think for themselves, are doing to demonstrate that you can only think what you are told to think. You need more time to listen to more bullshit that is unrelated to him releasing documents to decide if he was right to release those documents... Fucking priceless...
tom, no one will want to listen to you if you act like your opinion is fact and theirs is utter bullshit. i agree with most of what you're saying but the way you present yourself leaves something to be desired. people have just as much of a right to question Julian Assange as you do to support him.
I don't necessarily think that it's as important that people listen to Tom, as it is that they think for themselves, which I believe is what Tom has said. The problem with Assange is that people are questioning his personal life, which is completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. The issue is that he released files the government didn't want anyone to see and he got imprisoned for it. Who he's slept with has nothing to do with any of this and the documents he released has nothing to do with his personal character.
I also have just as much right to express myself in any manner I choose. Just as you have the right to express your opinion of my manner of speaking... Have you noticed that I didn't suggest he change his opinion? Have you noticed I didn't tell him that he shouldn't post what he did, or didn't suggest a different manner in which he posted? If people had a tiny percentage of the concern for the actual issues as they have with BULLSHIT like this, things would change... But hey, make some more noise about the way in which I choose to post, it is sure to add to the conversation.
The following is the opinion you expressed... It is your opinion that what I expressed is only ONE opinion, the fact that it is an opinion I can prove wrong by pointing to the other posts in this thread where others (including Skip, site owner AND OP of this thread) have stated the same opinion is besides the point. It is also your opinion that those who have chosen to support this issue have done so out of a sense of following and not thinking for themselves. It is also your opinion, that others are waiting until they learn more about that guy. Now... If you are done trying to troll this thread, can we get back to the point of it?
Yes it would. I should have worded that better. The importance of the documents and their release by Assange shouldn't be ignored or over looked because of his personal character.
