Well, everyone seems to be using the word rape, the charges seem very technical, both women involved were collegues, apparently it has to do with condom malfunctions, and they were both bragging about their conquest on social networking sites after the fact.

Regardless of that, how the hell is this guy going to get a fair trial?


But something like Wikileaks should be public domain, like open source software or P2P downloads, so that one guy cant be targeted.

As far as Assange goes, its not the Swedish or US Governments I'd be worried about, it would be the likes of the Russian Mafia

wikileaks pushes the idea the iran is going after nuclear capabilities, something I don't agree with.

I do agree with you on all points. I guess what I was trying to say is that this is more newsworthy because of his reputation, but that's only natural with the press. If the allegations are found to be completely baseless (which seems likely), or were at the behest of some governments it would be interesting to see if a defamation claim against them would be possible.
