We had some pretty active weather last night. A couple small tornados not too far away, and areas with straight line wins supposedly up to 90mph. We had our power knocked out (still out as I type) and from what I can tell, about 70,000 homes/businesses in the storm's path are without power. Weather like this can happen more commonly up to about mid-July. Here's my last photo before heading to the basement as the sirens had been going off for a few minutes by that time.
Time to start collecting firewood for next winter. I don’t need to but I enjoy cutting the wood. It’s a good way to make use of the resources.
Was just thinking about heading to the woods, cutting some up and splitting it. Tis bonfire season after all!
Notice, before ice-out, the docks, shoreline and the small sitting platform on the left side of the picture. This photo taken May 6. Now notice...docks? Shoreline? And the sitting platform. Photo taken today.
Some places are in the midst of some costly flooding this spring and it doesn't look to be getting any better for them yet. (not a video)
Got done with work early yesterday, so I snuck out for some solo fishing. It went well! Grilled fish tonight.
Yep, 1m (just over 3ft) of lake covering the access road. Need it to drop at least 2ft in the next 21 days or once again Canada will be a bust.
