It's not always fishing.

 

But often times it is fishing. Lol

 

Sometimes it's nice just letting them land and watching swim around.

Ok, this is off subject a little, but we like decorating Christmas cookies.

 

Sometimes we hunt during the snow, but it's usually not very good.

 

Dang dog. Lol

 

Yummmmm - Fresh turkey for Thanks Giving, Xmas and New Year !!!

 

The annual snowmobile races on the lake were held a couple weeks ago. Was beautiful weather for those in attendance!

 

Last year's event. And yes, all the trucks, trailers and haulers are parked on the lake.

Ice fishing is very popular. This is a popular tournament with prizes such as $10,000, new truck, etc. But you'll never find me attending one of these.

 

And when people get word of fish biting, this happens. Again, not where I'd go ever.

 

And if you have $30k to $40k, you can get one of these. This is a smaller one at 8ft wide and 16ft long. But they make them nice and cozy.

 

This is what I use. Easy to move from spot to spot, or lake to lake.

 

Spring is approaching, so I'll end with a few more winter photos then move on. This is our driveway from a few years ago.

 

My wife took these photos of ice sheets on Lake Superior at Duluth. The sheets are much larger than it appears (according to her)... photo taken from a distance.

 

And finally, my folks' Charles Dickens Christmas village they put up each December.
