Unusual phrases for 'having a period'

There is a spaghetti sauce brand in Australia called Dolmio and they use the line "Dolmio grin" in all their advertisements to describe smiling people with red sauce around their mouths. A lot of people use "Dolmio Grin" now to describe a guy that goes down on a girl while she has her period. I think thats gold.

 

I've always said on my period, but as I got older I noticed most girls I've met say HAVE my period. It sounds so much the same, but I always thought it a little odd.

i tend to use bleeding my brains out, i get pretty stupid...
the hispanic half of the family used to call it riding the pony

 

I just call it Red Devil... sure I have others but they are too gross and weird to share...

My periods are fairly unpleasant.
