I noticed piles of corn and a funny box on top of the silo....is that spilled corn or a pest control effort?
I was working at one of the local grain storage sites that are scattered across the midwest US for storing the millions of bushels of corn and soybeans harvested. I was on the top main deck of the concrete silos and couldn't resist taking a photo of the epic view.. Just behind me there's the "head house" they call it that towers another 80 feet high. The state has erected hundreds of these wind turbines across the region and I think my most accurate count in this particular viewing area was 46 that I could see at least. They are connected to the power grid and send eighty percent of the power they produce across the country to other areas.
