I found a small picture in a glass frame which was on a shelf relocated on the floor neatly in front of two canvases stacked against the wall.It couldn't have fallen because it was neatly placed. No one has been in my room to my knowledge and I don't remember moving it myself.Anyone else experienced inexplicable object relocation?

I always lock my room.I have a key.Unless I moved it in a sleepwalk,I don't know how this happened. It's a very minor mindfuck, but I just can't explain it.I obviously have too much time on my hands to sit and mull over things like this...

It happens to my husband and I frequently. We jokingly blame it on gnomes. We ask for stuff back, and sometimes we get it, precisely where it belonged, where we already both looked for it. For example, we lost a thumb drive we knew we placed in a small backpack. We took turns completely emptying the bag, examining each item removed, shaking the bag, upending it, turning it inside out, visually and manually inspecting each compartment. The bag had never been separated from us since putting the drive in. We gave up, and slept. When we awoke, we searched the bag again the same way and fpund th thumb drive. Fucking gnomes. Or whoever.

This happens to me all the time actually.

All of my guitar picks get lost, and I can never find them again. Which by itself might seem like I'm a dumbass. But I check under every piece of furniture. In my guitar bag. In all of my jeans I ever wore. Even the ones that I wore back when I was fat, because screw it. I check everywhere your thinking 'oh he just didn't look there'. Nowhere to be found. So I use the pick that's too thick and I never loose it because it sucks.

Until I realize. After I'm done making due, and all the creative juices have been used. That I specified a tin for them 4 months ago and I can never remember that I did it. Right in the center of the coffee table. Literally dozens of guitar picks. All the perfect thickness, the right material, etc.

Maybe you just did it and forgot. By trying to remember why you did it or why it happened. Maybe your pushing the actual memory farther from realization. Making it seem insane that it ended up there, when there is a perfectly good reason for it.

Well, eventhorizon, how do you explain the thing that happens to my husband and I? We put things where hey belong, go to look for them where they belong, don't find them. Tear apart everything everywhere looking. Restore evrything, and give up. Later, we always find the thing, precisely where it belongs, just where we looked for it. We've lived in four states together, almost always alone. What's the logical explanation for that?
