People pay $70 an eighth for the best of the best.
Just because you haven't smoked any pot worth $70eighth doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
But it does.
In CA., an ounce of the best gourmet pot goes for $500/oz. That means 1/8ths that are $70--$75.
In the Silicon Valley in the late summer of '95 it was dry dry dry. People in that area got lots of $$ and some will pay astronomical prices for the good shit but all that was around was lousy.
My friend in L.A. heard this, broke up a few lbs. he had into oz's & 1/4 lbs. and headed north.
He was selling ounces for $700 each.
