brother was crossing the road yesterday with his buddy and his buddy dashed across despite my brother yelling for him not to and the dude was killed....36 years old.....my brother is mia and likely hammered somewhere....I am having friends reach out to him on fagbook but he hasn't called yet

he's been on a binge and people been calling to tell me they are worried about him...he tends to self destruct every 2 years or so

all you hear is dementia dementia dementia

last time i checked dementia didnt cause all the same effects as alcoholism....but i guess its the new hollywood thing to forget about alcoholism and just blame deaths on dementia

 

David Cassidy's mother and one of his grandparents had Alzheimers; but yeah, he was an alcoholic in recovery.

My mum had Alzheimer's, and it's what killed her!
She lost the ability to swallow, and take nourishment.. the Alzheimer's robs them of all functions, then their body starts to pack in, my mum's kidneys failed, then her heart.. she had a sherry at Christmas, so no alcohol was to blame... My dad liked a drink, but wasn't alcoholic..
Alzheimer's is a slow good bye.. nasty shite it is!

Rolling I hope you find your brother. That experience must have been awful for him to witness.

Our mother died from Alzheimer's and other conditions. As the brain shuts down so do the organs. Mom was not a drinker. She was 87 when she died. Alzheimer's can start in the brain 20 years before the disease becomes an issue. Early Onset Alzheimer's is when it happens before 65 years. You can get it as young as 20. The early onset is more aggressive and faster developing. It seems the two musicians probably fell in that category. Alzheimer's is a cruel disease since you lose your loved one over the course of several years.

also im not minimizing the dementia but im fairly certain in the two cases i mentioned ...alcohol was much more than a minor factor...and the dementia was much less than a major factor ...but it looks like they are minimizing it (the alcoholism) when in fact their fame could have maybe been used to help some fans

Even though you've been an incredible asshole to me on different occasions, I do hope your brother is found safe. One of my brothers was found dead and I wouldn't wish that on any sibling or parent.
