Ultimate Frisbee

I'm from Australia and its the first time I've heard about it.

 

lol. I have never seen ultimate frisbee....but with frisbee golf its basically golf with a frisbee. Theres designated courses with frisbee baskets and you try to toss the frisbee into the basket. Its fun cuz the baskets are usually really far off and there are usually tons of obstacles such as trees and creeks and innocent bystanders! Many times you cant even see the basket cuz its around a bend or something so it takes some skill. But mostly its just a reason to be outside on a nice day with friends and have a beer or two.

 

Ultimate frisbee is almsot like football with a frisbee

 

I play Ultimate Frisbee on my college team at Oneonta. It's so much fun, we travel all over the US on the weekends for tournaments and such. We pack ten of us per hotel room, and we get free vans and gas to use from our school. It's really popular in college, and the games are really intense.

i used to be in AFJROTC (air force junior reserve officer training corps) when i was in high school...we played all the time...

was lots of fun...except when it's windy

 

ouch that one guy is getting owned in that one pic.... ill just stick with regular frisbee .. id prolly get beat down in ultimate frisbee lol.

Used to play UF in highschool. I'm the antithesis of athleticism though. I failed. Never played frisbee golf, it hasn't really caught on here. I do enjoy real golf though much to my girlfriends dissatisfaction.

 

that "one guy" is me lol, it was a total foul though. It was just a scrimmage with people on my team

 

that's shocking, Australia is the mecca of Ultimate. People actually make a LIVING playing frisbee there :cheers2:

 

Yeah, Enjoy... never met a person down here who hasn't heard of UF... God, my hometown's entire social life is built around that sport.

 

I think I need to move to Australia...

My gathering of people is coming along though I think a game may be happening in the very near future.
