Well History Says The UK Sent All Their "Shit Convicts" Out Here......So That Pic Just Might Be Closer To The Truth Than Some Would Like......LOL...... Cheers Glen.
Well, much more snow and gales in the night. Our poor wee dog clearly does not get the concept of drifts. The general snow is deeper than her but she kind of jumps through it. Unfortunately there are drifts about 4ft deep and she just dives in oblivious to the fact that she has no way of turning and getting out! She is 6 years old and this is the first time that she has been "can we go home now please"
My Family Did Not Come Here As Convicts.......Quite The Opposite Actually......They Were "Paying Passengers"...... And The Captain Of The Ship Was A Close Relative To Them...... This Was (approx) 1852......They Spent A Short Time In Sydney......Then Crossed The Mountains And Purchased Land Here..... Cheers Glen.
Yeah yeah.. we got it.. they got a reduced travel cos a relative was an officer on the convict ship.. Cheers Glen
FFS.........They DID NOT SAIL HERE ON A CONVICT SHIP......They Paid Full Fare On A Regular Shipping Service......Grrrrrrr..... Cheers Glen.
No matter how they travelled, or why.. You live in a beautiful country, and if I had the chance, I would have gone too.. It's jest Glen.. UK did send people there, members of my family, a young woman of 19 because she stole food for her baby, the result of her being raped... The baby went into the workhouse, she to Australia.. looks like they both died at young ages.. Then the child scandal.. the list of what this place did goes on.. but no one now is responsible for that.. Respect to you glen, at least your family had a choice.
It's so cold, im glad im not male, or a monkey! Took some great photos.. but had to come in quick, the wind is freezing.. literally. In my part of this country, it's -4 with a windchill of -10.. Now in parts of Canada, I know that's not so bad, but in the UK, we are not built for this stuff!
