EMMA REDUCANU: Congratulations to Emma Reducau, the reigning US Open champion, has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 23, achieved on 13 September 2021, and is the current British No. 1. She reached the fourth round on her major debut with a wildcard into the main draw for the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. This helped her to access the qualifying competition for the 2021 US Open in August and after qualifying for the main draw, she went on to become the first qualifier, male or female, to reach and win a major singles final. In the final she defeated 19-year-old Leylah Fernandez to become the first British woman to win a major singles title since Virginia Wade at Wimbledon 1977.
