UK develops record-breaking quantum chip with double-performance power (msn.com) This is an Oxford spinoff, and the article sounds like a cartoon or fantasy, but I believe every word of it. They've figured out how to create an electronic scalable quantum computer, that doesn't need error corrections, using any chip fab in the world. Knowing Oxford, they're talking to Intel, and the only remaining issue is how many transistors they can squeeze on a chip. Supposedly, its 10x the performance, and Intel should be able to squeeze at least several thousand on a chip. Maybe, a few billion... It would be nice if they finally got it over with, and actually comprehending what they're making becomes important for them.
