i could only assume that people on this site are hippie folk being that it's a hippie site, and good lord Janis like reigned as queen how can someone say that. I can't stand when people say that i mean wasn't her life miserable enough, anyone who says that clearly has no appreciation of rock and true soul, she sings blues and soul better than anyone every, better than the black soul singers. Thats why i have so much respect for her, she was like the best singer ever, never heard anyone sing even SLIGHTLY as good as her, she was unique and NO ONE will ever have that same sound she had, she was amazing. And i don't just love her music i love her as a person. Like the chick who said she shares a soul with jimmi page, i share a sould with janis. So many people today seem to not appreciate someone when they sing a song with feeling, Janis sang with feeling, cuz she had been hurt so much, when she sang a love song she just let loose and sung that like it's never been sung before and will never be sung like that again, i feel janis's pain when i listen to her music, cuz thats how she expressed it, and when i hear people say shit like that it's not cool, because they clearly have no respect for true talent and know nothing of a natural raw singer.

 

and i never said thats what being a hippie is about. i'm very aware of what that is about, i just have a VERY strong love for Janis Joplin.

 

Someone already said DIO, but I have the proof, muahaha! I've seen him live, in addition to being fugly he's also about 4'1! lol Good thing he's got a great voice (in my opinion). Also, if you're going to mention Jagger, let's mention that he looks great in comparison to his counterpart Mr.Fugly Mc.Richards!

By the way, I took lessons here in Des Moines (Slipknot's genesis) from Mick Thompson's old teacher, Michael Curry, at Ye Olde Guitar Shoppe, and have met Mick a few times. He's actually a fairly good player, he's got some chops and no, he's not too bad looking. He's not a prince, but he's not what you'd call fugly either. Too bad he went that way with his music.

Anyway, since someone mentioned the progressive rock genius that is "Yes", I thought I'd put in my own fugly progressive rocker, Geddy Lee of "Rush". Enjoy!

Just today, my sister started bitching about some 60's psychedelia I had playing, and even though I love that music and I hated that she said it "sucked," I certainly didn't call her a fucker or go ballistic on her.
