You haven't really posted much but disjointed points about quantum physics and how that relates/effects every other thing and poetry.
it is the connections and conclusions that you are putting forth that fall within the realm of magical thinking.

It's pretty clear after this 10 or so posts spend on pointing out what the issue is with being too vague or getting all kinds of trivial bullshit mixed into it. Get over yourself and keep it on topic. When more than one person is telling you you are too vague just take the criticism for pete's sake.

 

The issue is US tanks in Germany. If not for the US, Nazi Germany would have conquered all of Europe or Russia would have invaded and Germany as we know it would no longer exist. There is certainly nothing magical about anthropology or modern history.

 

The poetry I write is also written by professional physicists. You can argue all you want about such things, and dismiss them as vague and nebulous all you want, but they meet academic standards and you are merely making personal attacks with nothing to back them up.

I'm not the one complaining. Conservatives have often complained that Wittgenstein's philosophy sounds like mysticism to them because, of course, it doesn't support conservatism! Yet, it is the foundation of modern linguistic analysis.

 

And you missed my point entirely. But that's been the case for years on HF. I can't get over the raw hostility on this site sometimes. It's clear why we don't have meet ups, they'd likely turn into riots (though probably not so much looting). You know I'm an asshole, why not ignore me? Surely it would be therapeutic.

I make my living writing, so I find it offensive when people make the sorts of mistakes I expect from 3rd graders in an adult forum. I have found that shaming them, like the asshole I am, actually turns this around faster than trying to "be nice" about it.

As for the thread, movement of tanks is minor class posturing when discussing Russia. It's unlikely they'd waste time with a tank battle in this age. Like battleships, tanks are largely obsolete regardless of who makes them. They are only effective when used against a lesser-equipped enemy. I am curious to know who ordered the deployment and for what purpose since the one stated is so absurd. Russia isn't likely to invade anyone on a whim.

 

That's quite pathetic you find such things offensive. It makes it clear once again though that what is offensive to people remains awfully subjective (and is often trivial ). Maybe it is because you are assuming things too quickly. I noticed you acted a bit retarded to spelling mistakes earlier (which is the only reason I grant you the respect of an off topic reaction now): maybe it helps knowing not everyone on this site is from the US, England or Canada or is a native english speaker. I'm from the Netherlands and my first language is dutch btw. If you can't handle other people's spelling mistakes, regardless if english is their first language or not, maybe take your own advice and ignore such people.

If America were to abandon Europe to its fate today Russia and everyone else would immediately invade. Of course, American imperialism owes much to that of European which set the modern standard.

 

Yeah right, Americans have the right to overthrow the government. That's a laugh. What is a "revolutionary right," exactly? Does that mean we have the right to die for what we believe in? Because that's all that's going to happen if we ever try to organize a coup.

Americans have the right to be critical of the government. Just don't try and do anything about it. Unless you want to be locked up, tortured, or murdered. Just be a lone voice crying out in the wilderness and you'll do fine, so long as there are enough lone voices crying out in the wilderness to make your own voice nothing special.

 

Absurd. Why would Russia invade Europe? They have trouble running their own country as it is. They couldn't keep their conquests on the long term at all. They took Crimea after a referendum there. They will not invade and conquer Europe with an army. The reason countries near Russia like the Baltic states have more serious concerns about Russia than the rest of Europe is because there is a big percentage of russians in those countries (that is being influenced by dubious russian media). Like in the Ukraine, and like Crimea.
And if with 'everyone else' you mean fugitives or something (who else would you mean? Turkey? Morocco? IS? ) why in earth does Europe need America for that.

 

I don't think at this stage any of the major powers seriously contemplate invading each other.For one thing it makes no economic sense.It's bad for business.China gets very antsy though sometimes.They seem to have a kind of exaggerated sense of pride in their own self-worth.Trump is a madman but it can only be good for World peace if relations between the U.S. and Russia are normalized,which is after all what we want isn't it? It will be interesting to see how the U.S./Russia/China triangulation works out though.
