Americans are not comprehensive enough in teaching their own history. American human history began about twenty to forty thousand years ago and American civilization began roughly 8,000 years ago. By 700 years ago, these civilizations had produced massive cities in Meso-America, the Andes and a few parts of North America. Many of these civilizations had architects, writing systems, domestic animals, multi-story apartment houses, a vast network of roads, terrace farming, astronomers, metal workers, mathematicians and physicians. Sure there were vast wooded areas and open prairies where agriculturalists and hunter-gatherers lived in villages and small towns, but it is wildly inaccurate to ignore the Aztecs, the Cahokia city near what is now East St. Louis, the Etowah city in northwest Georgia, Maya, Olmecs, Incas, Pueblo people of the 4-corners area, and other cities and civilizations. A few hundred years ago, Americans took in some refugees from a backward continent to their northeast. These refugees didn't even know how to grow enough food to survive the winter. Their descendants smugly decided that civilization began when they arrived and they still teach that badly lopped off version of history in schools. They admit that the Americas had people living there prior to their arrival, but you have to take a college level archaeology course before you can get them to admit that the Americas were civilized for thousands of years prior.
I see the above quote as a kind of declaration of war. Imagine living in a country run by religious nuts, where every twisted fuck carries a gun, if you cant pay for medical treatment you die and if you walk naked down the street, some twat will either shoot you or stick it up your ass. Sorry US but you can take our Queen but you cant take our freedom..... Mind you i wouldn't mind having your 5th amendment, theres a lot of shit i wanna say but cant because it breaches several acts of parliament to do so......
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. Are you sure you meant the 5th?
We have no quarrel with Elizabeth II, but old King George the III brought the war on himself with his mad folly and tyranny. We had all the freedoms of English citizens until he took it away.
Ever heard of Stephen Gough and his attempts to walk from Lands End to John O'Groats? Seemed harmless enough to me, but every tinhorn cop from here to there decided to trump up some charge against him, since nudity is technically legal in the UK.
Do you really hate us THAT much, roamy? A bomb? I can understand Roorshack shouting his mouth off-he belongs to the ONLY country ever to think up an excuse to use atomic weapons and knows FUCK ALL about this country,or he'd know the differences between the UK,Gt Britain and England. But for you to say "Our day will come"....what has engendered such hatred, roamy? After all,the people who did the empire building stuff and caused the Irish depression are long dead. Today,we're just people,multicultural,multi-religion,multi-lingual and have no connection to those evil times. After all-who here hates the Romans? The Huns? Prussians? Persians, anybody? Austrians? Mongols? Is moving on and leaving the bad stuff in the past where it belongs so very hard, hon?
I would rather slurp the sludge from a Chinese ditch diggers flip-flop than have anything at all to do with the US. A bigger nation of fuck-ups is harder to imagine.
i hate nobody! never have.never will,as i would never give any person or persons the power of hatred over my heart and soul,as they are not up for imprisoment!even whithin the walls of a cell."Our day will come"why would you read that as hateful? it is what it says. Our day will come. and yes one day, Our day will! come.in my life time i hope.if not i'll celebrate the day our day comes from the spirit world.btw you should have copied and pasted what i was replying to also,to show the full picture.how conveineint that you did'nt! i wonder why? not!
Ceád mile fálte.cab ba mhaith,mo sheoladh? (joke!)if your irish you'll get it! ha! ha!though i totally disagree with what you said bout america being the worst.their not! but i know who are,the worst!surprised you don't being born and reared in eire.but of course i speak as a fenian woman, born and reared in eire.and you may not be one to.
I have roots in both the Republic of Ireland and Ulster UK. There was good cause for grievance all around, but when they got to America, they put it aside and made love and babies together. Then they married Scots, Germans, French, English, Swiss, and Cherokee and we are what we are. I don't see why the Irish Republic should not extend to the entire island. The descendants of Scots peasants were brought to Ulster centuries ago against their will, and maybe they won't be happy under Dublin's rule. If so, let them come to the US. If we allow a blind Egyptian sheik who bombed the World Trade Center to live here and continues to preach death to everyone from his prison cell, then we might as well bring on a few more Irish or Scots-Irish or both.
Yea! in Scotland and they want independence...He travelled England without any problem....I'm afraid the Scots are still in the 13th century, ruled by William Wallace :bobby:
