Some of these percentage rises (51%, 65%) seem ... questionable)

 

And -(finally) = Lockdown.:
Provision of Vaccine is Key - One only hopes that Speed does not over-ride Safety provision.
The hope is that it will work and that a roll-over is practically possible.
With an estimated date of Mid/late Feb for initial roll out, (when a review will take place) there is a hope of better days ahead - though given that the (now not so new) strain of virus seems to be looking towards that of Crichtons novel, by that time - such a review itself, may need revising - one thing is certain - This, is far from over.

 

In between the two national lockdowns the virus has become up to 70% more contagious. We've basically been walking around and mixing at work and at the shops during the most dangerous period. Now its on the brink on overwhelming the NHS we're now told to stay in, but was okay 2 weeks ago to mix, seems they left it too late for me.

 

Part of that is because the UK Govenrment havnt been listening to those who have been saying for along time now ,KIDS are spreaders. The main breeding areas of infections are schools ( mainly secondary),colleges and universities .Only 3% according to the Department of National Statistics is created from pubs .Yes we know what happened to the local .

 

Once the virus has taken hold, there is nothing you can do about it. Learn to live with it.

In England if you are under 60 and in good health I.E. the majority of us, you have more than twice as much chance of dying on the roads than dying from Covid. That is from official Government statistics.

Lift all restrictions and protect the vulnerable.

The economy is wrecked for years to come.

 

Yes but this Government doesnt like people having good health .It endorses obesity which has been linked with Covid by closing all the Sports facilities and gyms .

Tonight's TV presentation saw a few things of concern,
The Vaccine cannot be sent out yet until batch testing has taken place. (indicating a delay)
The Maths of 1st vaccaine - today, follow up in 12 weeks time - mean that 'mid' February target date for change, unlikely if not unwise to state or give assurance of delivery.
and, Prof. Chris Whitty delivering the stark message "we may have to bring in a few things next Winter" - looking to the ever-changing virus will be again be amongst us (I'm guesstimating for at least two years)

 

What would the statistics be on road deaths if all restrictions be lifted, speed limits, seat belts, drink driving laws etc.

 

You are missing the point. The majority of us have almost zero chance of dying from Covid. But the hysteria in the media makes it sound like the zombie apocalypse.

 

Have you ever seen anyone, suffering from lung diseases (including Covid -19) gasping for breath and thrashing about because they couldn't breathe ??? - I have and its not a pleasant sight.

I am now an ancient decrepit crinkly, considered vulnerable, and am therefore being 'shielded' because of it. I would rather prefer not to gasp out my last breaths at this time, I still have a few good years in front of me (hopefully).
