Just thought of a verbal one. During the making of a documentary that I was grading in 1972, about why eastern European girl come to the UK to become pornographic models. One of the girls being interviewed said....."I am not bothered about people seeing my PUBLIC hair"..
It was one of the short low budget films that ran in the cinema before the main feature in those days. The film, "Anatomy of a pinup", was made to precede the film "Lady sings the blues". the life story of Diana Ross. What is so strange, is that I can remember that so clearly, while I do not have a clue what we had for dinner last night.
Whoops. My long term memory is not that good after-all. Perhaps that was because neither of them were opera singers. A nice song for you, to make up for my stupidity Kathleen Ferrier has such a wonderful contralto voice and became famous for giving concerts without any backup or orchestra. Listening to her will leave you in no doubt about the reasons why. Her death at the age of 41 was so tragic and a loss to the world of music.
Now I actually have heard that song before. I am going to see the Phantom of the Opera again zoon. Zoon lol
