It isn't going to happen in the UK. My post was to show there are 'radical' people in many religions. And a pocket of Muslims isn't the great threat to society as is made out. We have vocal groups spouting off about all manner of things - but we seem to survive. Even the notion there is an ethnic time-bomb waiting to happen is slightly devalued when you see so many ethnicities joined in opposition to same sex marriage.

I use this a lot, but I think it sums up how most of the UK is.

But they're really a nice group of people once you get to know them.

This story was a tough call for people who lick the boots of racist groups and the police. The consternation over making a decision about which of the two to be critical of in this story must make such people bounce off the walls and ceiling like Daffy Duck.

Because their tyrannical deities demand it.

What's there to think about? As has been said - two people decided to use the death of an individual and the plight of another to provoke. They supposedly raised cash for the little girl. people donated to the official charity / site set up for her. And the EDL's contribution has been rejected because it was politically motivated.

Well, I just wanted to say in regards to the first part of your post that there is no chance what so ever of that happening. All the people wouldn't allow such a thing and if it ever started to happen people would rise up.

Oh and also wanted to comment that in my family (mom sibling and stuff...) the younger Christians are not opposed to same sex marriage and the older ones are becoming less and less opposed to it and other issues likewise. There is a def. a generational thing there though, like w other things.

there are certain suburbs I can no longer freely go to by myself. I have even been questioned on the street at one shopping district why I was not being escorted by a male. There are two community swimming pools I cannot go to on designated days as they are reserved for mulsim women only..yet I am a women. What is wrong with that picture?

I love diversity, I love seeing all the different colors and faces that make up our humanity. I despise being made different because of my looks or background. I want to feel welcomed in my own country; is that too much to ask for?

I gave an example earlier on another thread. If I went purposely to another country like Malaysia for example, I would not expect to be able to live, dress and behave the way I do here. Why should we have to tolerate people coming to our countries, who only wish to carry on living as they did where they came from? Didn't they leave those countries for a reason? Didn't they come to the new countries to be a part of it? Or not? To try and change the world to their ideals? That to me is what seems to be happening.

Words from my dad's favorite song.

    I hear people talkin' bad,
About the way we have to live here in this country,
Harpin' on the wars we fight,
An' gripin' 'bout the way things oughta be.
An' I don't mind 'em switchin' sides,
An' standin' up for things they believe in.
When they're runnin' down my country, man,
They're walkin' on the fightin' side of me.
Yeah, walkin' on the fightin' side of me.
Runnin' down the way of life,
Our fightin' men have fought and died to keep.
If you don't love it, leave it:
Let this song I'm singin' be a warnin'.
If you're runnin' down my country, man,
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me.

I read about some squirrely guy,
Who claims, he just don't believe in fightin'.
An' I wonder just how long,
The rest of us can count on bein' free.
They love our milk an' honey,
But they preach about some other way of livin'.
When they're runnin' down my country, hoss,
They're walkin' on the fightin' side of me.
