The best part is the line about "He thinks his books are so good, he can bash blah blah". Seeing as he's the most successful writer ever, he can say a thing or two.

Get away from the books and on a treadmill, srsly.

hahaha. teenagers. i read the whole series when my stepson gave them to me. the books are complete crap, but i have to say, it was a FASCINATING reminder of how a teenager's mind works. i recommend it for any parent of a teenager who's into these books to READ THEM.

    The whole series? Shit.

Isn't the last one 700-something pages?

i'm unfortunately bored to tears with the whole black tower series. maybe it's like the bible and it'll come to me eventually. ;)

but lissey's story is quite one of the sweetest love stories i've ever read. it's a real view into how SK views his wife and their relationship. it's very sweet.

and 1308 is scarier in the book than it is in the movie.

Yeah it's big like 700 pages..

I read it when I was like 20 it was the biggest book had ever read.

But now days I always read large books.

I did think the book was a lot better then the movie. the movie was good also, maybe I will just rent the movie.

I got an "uncut" version thats over 1,000 pages. Took me about a full season to read but so good

King's books are always better than the movies just because they're so heavily detailed and there're so many things you get from the book that you can't from movies

I actually loved Twilight. I can understand why people don't like it and I'm not mad about the books (I prefer detective/murder books) but hey, I still thought it was alright... Oh well, I'm a teenager. Who cares? xD

EDIT: I forgot to say, some of those comments were hilarious.

the Dark Tower is an amazing series....best series ever written in my crappy opinion. Its better written then LOTR. Seriously i have a few friends that read twilight and said it was pure teanie bopper garbage. I agree with Mr King, he has been around enough to know what is good story telling and what isn't. Look at Rowlings Potter series sure the context makes it sound like it's a series for kids however if you have actually read them, they are well written and as much as i hate to say it a read that the whole family can enjoy. it was actually my soon to be 60 y/o step-mom that turned me onto the series. I get such a diverse reading selection between her and my dad.

ugh. the reason it's sold so much, is because it's all young people who wouldn't know a good book if it hit them in the face. A bunch of post Harry Potter fanatics, who liked that when it was popular as well. Honestly, though I haven't read twilight, I tried once and couldn't get into it. However, the ONLY book of Mr. King's I couldn't really get into was The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon...

What does she mean by he's not in the light? I don't think he gives a flying fuck if the media likes him, he knows he has a loyal fan base. In fact, I found a new book of his short stories, even though he supposedly "retired" lol
