Ohh yea I remember. I hate those kinds of docs, the ones who palm you off with no real help >< Can you not see the one who treated you from birth? Damn pypes, that sounds a bit shit My bf has a huge slouch from when he plays css all day, then some days he stands up straight properly, it is so weird, I forget how tall he is and how broad his shoulders are xD
I am sorry that you are dealing with such an incompetent Dr. Any chance of finding another who gives a shit? I think your hair looks great and so do you - all around! congrats on the jeans. I also have a pair my hubby bought me for Christmas 3 years ago that I wore only once before I found out I was pregnant - that was my second daughter, I am now pregnant with my third so you don't even wanna know how far from getting back into those I am! But I look forward to losing some weight and toning up after this birth. Congrats on the weight loss, I know how hard it can be and I am glad it's been easy for you. Keep on keepin on and keep posting pics of your locks - inspiration much for the rest of us!!
Thank you mamma and everyone else who thinks they look good! I'm relocating soon enough so there's not much point in finding another Dr. If you still have the jeans that your husband bought you, keep them! I think I developed that body dismorphia and I couldn't actually see the progress I was making so they were a useful guide. It felt amazing when they became too big. I'm really happy you like my dreads. isn't it about time you posted an update? Thanks Sunflower if we ever meet you can touch them btw, I found a cute stamp for your mum. Here's a pic of me and my pooch. It's how I wear my dreads around the house.
Aww thanks you guiz! I think German Sheps are the shit. The reputation they have though makes me sad. I think they're trying to make ownership of the breed in council homes illegal. Everyone's shit scared of Shadow when they visit. All he wants to do is hug and kiss people. I guess it's good, no fuckers gonna want to start shit with him around xD
Ahoy … Those are some serious locks that you have there Sister .. and your GSD looks wonderful What? That’s absolutely ridiculous … I can’t believe that nonsense, how can the council have the right to make a decision like that? GSDs are amazing … Creation went all out on their design. Loads of people have GSDs back in SA, there definitely isn’t a reputation problem there. Actually the dogs with the bad reputation are bull terriers … not sure about Man, but they are ironically one of the most popular dogs that people in council properties in London have. I’m blown away that the Council in Man would consider banning GSDs … my sister in law and her husband have a GSD and a 3 year old son that has Down Syndrome … and their GSD is so good with him. They have just had a baby girl and the GSD has taken to her in the same loveable way. My wife grew up with GSDs, so when we get back to Cape Town, we’ll probably be getting … 200 or so … hahaha … and a Border Collie. I’m in the beginning phase of a PhD and walk dogs to bring money in. One of the dogs is an Irish Wolf Hound … what a beautiful dog. The point is that quite a few people get freaked out just by him being on the same side of the road as them … ?!”%^&*&^%”!? … so he often gets nasty looks and bad vibes. But anyway, I think some people in life fear anything that can give them a good whipping … and their fear turns into resent / hatred … which are probably the kind of people that have an issue with your GSD
Ahoy there Don! Thanks muchly for the comment. It's not taken effect and it may never do but as I last heard the gov did want a ban in council homes throughout England. Already in Rep of Ireland German Shepherds are illegal [I was offered a job there in May but turned it down for that reason] The general consensus here is that most shepherd owners are inbred idiots who want hard looking dogs. If the ban were to be enforced, for a few years it would only apply to new tenants. Here in Man people generally sway towards pitbulls. I live on a council estate and you wouldn't believe how many people just open their door and let them roam the streets. Scares me coz my lad isn't fond of strange dogs as he was attacked as a pup and they just get right in his face. I lol'd at the wolfhound. I get looks of "omg! you're a 5ft woman how on earth can you control him if he decides to run?!" Usually people comment on how beautiful he is. But some idiots out there really panic when they see him I agree with what you say though, they are super with their families. Your wife had my idyllic life [my parents would NEVER allow me to have a GSD] I don't think many people realise how difficult they are to raise right and that's why they do go off the rails. Mine is so super friendly with everyone but that's just through hardcore socialisation as a young pup. he's still a pup so he does still nip if over excited so I do ask people not to let their kids stroke him.
Ahoy ... that would be really sad if it came in ... and crazy because the reasoning would not be because the GSDs are idiots, but because the humans are ... LOL, I guess one day water will get banned because people can drown in it Man, you have such a beautiful pooch, I can't wait until we get ours when we move to Cape Town next year, I was only joking about the 200 part, but we are definitely getting one, my wife is totally set on it ... and I want a Border Collie, although I have been thinking of an Irish Wolf Hound since walking 'Harry', the one I mentioned, but I should do some homework to check if they can adapt to the SA climate
HAHA Thankyou. I have more photos here of him if you wanna have a look. http://tokyobutterfly.deviantart.com/gallery/#German-Shepherds and http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/album.php?albumid=2011 I could imagine you'd have to keep their coats shaved down in SA. Not that that's a bad thing! *pulls yet another hair from my mouth* Border Collies are amazing they'd be my second choice of dog. When you get your GSD you HAVE to send me pics.
I love the pic HDH!! It makes me smile!! It looks like the two of you are in some discussion about how damn cute he is. =) HDH = Who's a cute widdle puppy! Puppy = pant pant me! pant pant
Thats so rubbish They obviously know nothing about dogs, and are just stereotyping all bigger dogs to be like pit bulls, which is ridiculous. That is so cute My mum had two dogs when she was younger, a border collie, whom was called sophie, so I knew those types of dogs as "sophie dogs" xD She wants to get one now, just can't afford it. My bf has two St. Bernards and a retriever. The st.bs are SO gorgeous, and so huge xD they are like ponies But they can get nasty quickly apparently xD When someone walks outside the house they go crazy xD There was a night where one of them was locked out at night accidently, and the other one bashed the door in to let him in.. Crazy stuff lol. The retriever is gorgeous, she is so playful and awesome xD The st.bs push her about a bit cus of their size but she gives them shit back I've got a picture of jess, the retriever mounting fergus, one of the st.bs xD But I'd love to get a german shep >< How hard is it to train them?
They're pretty damn hard. They're fucking ace and are like sponges [intellectually] until they hit their adolescent age at about one year old and then they just get stupid and overly excited at everything until 2-3 years old. They'll challenge you for alpha position quite often and if you let them that's when they can get aggressive. Example of typical challenging behaivour " get on your bed." *Shadow just stands there wagging his tail* " DO AS YOU ARE FUCKING TOLD." *Shadow comes over, wagging his tail, proceeds to lick face* *HDH grabs Shadow by the collar drags him to his bed makes him lie down* *2 seconds later Shadow comes over again submissively repeat process* Also, you need to socialise them to the extreme when they're puppies. They're a renowned breed for not being fond of strangers and they usually have a "favourite" family member in which they can get insanely overprotective over. With Shadow, we took him into town three times a week on the bus when he was young and let everyone who showed an interest stroke him. My husband gives guitar lessons too so he got used to strangers coming round every week to the point where he cries when people leave. Saying that if I walk him at night and we approach groups of people he'll give them a warning growl not to start shit. If you've got the time to socialise them then I'd say go for it DV. You'll have a friend/protector for life. They really are great dogs. Also I'm thinking of selling this hat. I bought it last winter when my dreads were thin as you can see it doesn't fit them It's made of no kill Angorra wool. Only worn a handful of times because the person who I bought it off sent me the wrong one and I couldn't be arsed fucking around posting it back. I can send better pics if anyone's interested.
