Nothing much here.... As is usual, I'm such a boring person.

 

me to man its rainy and warm here i'm wishing for some really really cold weather with snow

 

Other than a fireplace I don't have heat... Cold weather can hold off for quite some time.

 

We didn't have heat at my moms house, was supah cold

my kiddo is sick. probably strep throat, he is SO miserable. doctor gave us antibiotics to give him, throat culture will be back in a few days. last year it was rotovirus right before winter break. at least this time its treatable. rotovirus is a 'wait it out' kind of thing, and the doctor last year didnt bother to determine exactly what was wrong, thats just the only thing that fits the symptoms.

its so hard for little kids to be sick, they dont know how to deal with it. i power through being sick, over the counter stuff to treat symptoms, but the germ fighting is all me. i cant remember the last time i had to take an antibiotic. i like having a good immune system. let us consult the great George Carlin, for his opinion on the subject.

me too. hes been moaning loudly at night, so i havent had a good sleep in 4-5 days. made him special dinner yesterday, and he wouldnt eat it because his throat hurt. who passes on french toast and syrup?

just went to plug in my kids laptop and my modem only has 1 spot for ethernet....there is another spot for a usb but i dont have one

 

One of my best friends just came back home after being gone for 3 months on a road trip to cali to visit people and a friend of ours who moved there 3 years ago. I'm hoping that he will have good news saying that she will be moving back soon. I doubt it though.

Glad he is back, he is one of the coolest/strangest people ive ever had a friendship with. Out all my guy friends he is the only one who is gay. I've learned its good to have a gay male friend. We have gone to parties and because women are very open with him, he has helped me meet lots of cool people.

 

Gay people are the shit i swear i knew a gay dude who i went to school with was very open and fucking hilarious

 

You may need a piece of equipment called a network switch. I'm not sure if both the Ethernet port and the USB port (which you don't have anyways.) on the modem can be used at the same time. A switch would allow you both to be connected to the switch at the same time. Then the switch, in turn, is attached to the Ethernet port on the modem. I've seen these switches at thrift stores like Goodwill for cheap. (A switch is an electronic device, kinda like your modem. What it does is sort out the signals coming from the two machines and makes sure they don't get mixed up when they are passed on to the modem.)
