You know, I recently bought some fresh Turmeric root at the store. And I grated it and steeped it into a tea. And it is delicious. It doesn't need sweetener, or anything else. And you know, the ratio of fresh herb to dried herb for teas is one tablespoon to the teaspoon, dried. (Except Ginger, where ½ to ¼ is preferred.) And I steep my herbal teas longer because I like them strong.

BTW does anyone know? What is Turmeric good for?

Curries and every health benefit under the sun if you believe the hype. In general most root veggies are good for you.

    This might help inform you.
Turmeric | More than just a spice
A friend of mine works for in pharma (I know.....).
He has said that turmeric and ginger or synthetic versions of them are used in chemo to grate effect. (see what I did there lol).

I found out a couple of days ago powdered Turmeric works just as well. (But the taste of powdered tisanes is always different, still. Anyone know what I mean?) Again, like with Ginger tea, less than a teaspoon. But to taste. And again, no sugar, lemon juice, etc. is required.

You can use things like Dollar Tree, Walmart "Great Value" and Spice Supreme (which is found in discount stores, where I live) Turmeric. I have found, when spices are cheaper, just use more.

I'll sneak in some Turmeric here and there, but powdered Turmeric in tea doesn't do a whole lot for me...besides turn my tongue yellow... Curry.....it's all good!
