this is true. however, nobody has specified on that data, whether it was an instrument reading on actual crossing in the air, or whether that was the crash site. from what i have read so far, the crash site was outside Turkish borders. so that number must have come from somewhere else other than the crash location. no source for it has been specified either.

At a meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan in Sochi, Russia's president confirmed that the Su-24 had been shot down over Syrian territory, 1km (0.6 miles) from the Turkish border, by an air-to-air missile from a Turkish F-16 jet.
It crashed in Syrian territory 4km (2.5 miles) from the border, he added. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34907983

And we all know that NATO countries never tell anything but the truth.

The truth is always the first casualty of any war.

The truth is likely to be somewhere in between the two main versions being told, but there is no guarantee of this.

Now that is complete bullshit. Putin isn't exactly fighting ISIS in Syria and everybody knows it.

Erdogan is one bad motherfucker but he did one good deed that day. He told that motherfucker Putin where he could stick it.

I don't know what is in Brian Williams' mind. When I think of WWIII, I think about China's involvment, because of the Formosa Issue. So there would be an Islamic States theater, a Russian theater, and a China theater. That's assuming nothing would reach us here, which is something that might happen. During WWII the Japs reached Alaska and Hawai. As for Israel and Iran, I know Israeli planes cannot reach Iran. They would have to refuel in the air with American help, or refuel in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, who have both been helping ISIS. Keep in mind that ISIS has not fired a single shot at either of these two states. A lot of people in the Middle East KNOW who helps ISIS, and Turkey with the USA are at the top of that list. From what I read in the Russian press, The Russkies are pissed. Putin has ordered his forces to fire on any threat.

The US would like to see Syria's President, Bashir Assad gone, most Syrians are estranged from Assad due to his heavy handed Dictatorship and indiscriminate attacks on the populace in Syria's civil war. Thus the refugee exodus.

Russia has Assad in a client relationship and has a naval base on Syria's Medditerrenian shore. Russia is attacking all of Assad's enimies, not just ISIS.

Russia's military operation in which the plane was attacked, was not against ISIS, but against another revolutionary group which enjoys Turkish sponsorship

There are several reports out today that say the government of Turkey has charged a journalist for publishing a report about shipments of arms to ISIS, from Turkey.

The Italian police has seized 847 Turkish made Winchester shotguns at the port of Trieste. The guns were shipped without EU transportation permits. They were on the way to Belgium. The truck and driver were both Turkish.
