The only thing it needs is a builtin lighter. It can be tricky to getting going.

I thought of a way to do it too, using the heater element from a cheapy soldering pen, like how a vaporizer works. Though I never did incorperate it.

Anothe way would be i fyou can find one of them cheapy battery powered electric lighters. And use the wire element from that.

    a gallon milk jug
    ratchet head
    sreen
    narrow hoses(about .5in diamiter)
    Hot glue gun
pvc pipe less than a foot, cut to size if neccessary

take a lighter and soften the milk jug cap, then cut a whole so that the ratchet head can fit through(don't worry about it beeing tight around the rachet)
take the sreen and glue it in the ratchethead
now go bck to head and cap put the hed in the cap nd take the hot glun gun and glue around it(making it air tight) and then when the glue drys take the pvc pipe(as narrow or close to the head) and glun that to the bottom of the head.
then cut however many ole you want in the top side of the jug and put the hose in them. glue to make air tight
then fill with water to the bottom of pipe and smoke

a good idea BUT, glass is EXTREMELY hard to modify. i have had a fair ammount of experience putting holes in glass and melting it for repairs, but unless you have alot of time, patience, know how, and the proper tools you will most likely end up breaking the thing your trying to change. i stole a bunch of the glass things that had a narrow top and round bottom to make a bong, some of them worked but most broke. i used a glass drill bit at first, but i have found that a dremel tool works better. but the best thing i stole from science class was one of those erlenmeyer flasks (cone shaped with a neck) that already had a hole and a tube fitting on the neck. i went to my local head shop, got a male and female downstem, drilled a hole in a cork, and put some surgical tubing on it and it was a great piece.
