There was a book that I was in love with as a kid but Google searches turn up nothing when I look for it and I cannot remember the name of it. In the book, there was a little boy who hides from some pirates in a drum and I believe ends up being put on their ship. The pirates steal an enormous amount of treasure along with a bunch of spices, peacock feathers...all kinds of things. The boy somehow ends up on another ship and, for whatever reason, tosses a key back to the pirate ship. When the key lands on the ship or is caught by someone on the ship, it is enough to actually sink the ship (since it is loaded down with all the other treasure). This is obviously fairly hard to search for in Google so I thought I'd turn to children's book forums to see if anyone could help. Thanks!
