You know what gets me about this "seniority" thing, is that a guy like me can totally hijack a thread, like, say, this one,, and remain encouraged to do so, since it still adds to the post count. People should not be rewarded and gain status simply on the basis of the number of posts. It's misleading. What kind of posts were they? Were they off-topic, like, say, this one? See. I completely disagree- and agree at the same time. I don't think post count in itself brings status.. i have seen many kids hijack the obscure threads on the game forum to get post count- I don't think people take them more seriously for that... BUT, you hijack thread like this-carry on pages of conversations and other posters get to know you more, perhaps those posters are friendlier because of that-perhaps not. That WOULD be almost an earned form of seniority..no, not so much seniority, as just gaining familiarity,perhaps friends- or hell, even people who remember they dislike you . . .See? it has little to do with low post count , to me anyway. ...but think you and I may have to agree to disagree on the evils you think you see on the board against noobs.
